John Moliere Player Evaluation
JOHN MOLIERE
Point Guard
Class of 2020 | Creekside HS | Fairburn, GA
Strengths
Finishing: Moliere is an athletic beast on the floor. In space or in the open court he can finish at the rim as well as any in the state of Georgia. His leaping ability in traffic can lead to violent finishes in the paint. The thin framed prospect uses his quick bounce to elevate above out-stretched arms.
Shooting: For a 6-7 prospect, Moliere has a soft touch from distance. His sports a high, consistent follow through from beyond the arc. He is also a proven pull-up jump shooter when the defense closes out long on him at the arc.
Versatility: Perhaps what gives Moliere the most value as a prospect is his ability to affect the game inside and out. He can protect the rim with shot swatting abilities while also snatching up double-digit rebounds on a nightly basis. Combine this with his perimeter offensive skills and Moliere can affect the game in a number of areas.
Areas for Growth
Play-making (For Others): Moliere is a terrific play-finisher. However, he has room to improve his ability to set up his teammates when he draws the defense into the lane. Getting comfortable shifting gears and directions with the ball in his hands will help with this skill.
