Battle at the Beach- Names to Know

24’ F Alex Tellison– 6’7 Forward showed he can produce at a high level throughout the event. Alex is a monster on the boards and plays very physical. He displayed a nice touch around the rim and played with a great motor. He will continue to grow and develop and will be a name that will continue to spread throughout the travel basketball world.

26’ C Lavont Burgess – I was impressed with how Lavont was using his size at a young age showed developing footwork and physicality that you want to see a big develop. Lavont has all of the makings of a solid big which every coach dreams of having. Solid overall style of play from Lavont and one to monitor in the coming months and years as he continues his high school journey.

25’ G Hutson Rowe – Sharpshooter who showed confidence and smart shot selection. A player who wants the ball in his hands and make plays for his team. Played a solid game in the game I saw and was clearly one of the best players on the floor. Very intriguing prospect who can put up points in a hurry while playing great defense on the other side of the floor.

24’ G Brady Patterson– Above Academy is loaded with shooters but Brady was amongst the best I saw throughout the weekend. Shoots with a high level of confidence while proving he can score from anywhere on the floor. Plays above his 6’2 size and made some great stops on the defensive end. I really liked his overall game and will continue to monitor his progress.

24’ SG Ace Taylor – Ace is a name that is continuing to attract attention amongst the scouts on a Pressure Elite team that is proving can compete with anyone on the circuit. Ace is a solid rebounder with great outside shooting skills. Ace is also a solid finisher at the rim and every time I see him plays continues to look better and better.
