OTR Florida Memorial Day Classic – Folds Fab 5 – May 30, 2023

Folds’s Fab 5- 5 standouts from Florida Memorial Day Battle

By: Josh Folds

24’ G Kaiden White – Kaiden continues his consistent overall play with another great event in the books. Kaiden has great size and athleticism for a combo guard and can score from anywhere on the floor. Kaiden is a consistent scorer that coaches can count on and will give you everything he has on the defensive end. I expect his recruiting to heat up as we head into the summer.

24’ W Narayan Thomas– Narayan uses his 6’5 frame very well he is great in transition and on the defensive end does a great job protecting the rim while being a solid rebounder. One of the most athletic wings I saw all weekend Narayan has great upside to his overall game.

24’ G Zay Caines – Zay had the best motor I saw throughout the event. This young man simply does not stop playing and never seems to run out of energy. Tough nosed guard who can get hot in a hurry and will guard your team’s best player. Zay is the engine that drives his team’s success. I really enjoyed watching him play and expect he will continue to create a buzz in any gym he is in this summer.

24’ G Deven Butler– Deven had another standout weekend and was one of the best overall players in the 17u division. Deven always seems in attack mode and can be counted on for a bucket when needed. Deven is vocal and full of passion while going hard on every possession. Deven’s name has quickly circulated amongst the scouts, and I see his recruiting picking up soon as well.

24’ G TJ Baker – One of the best guards I saw all weekend was TJ Baker from Game Speed Elite. TJ had an impressive showing against the loaded 1 Family 17u team. TJ was relentless getting to the rim while using nice combo moves to hit his mid-range jumper. TJ displayed great court awareness and energy throughout the game. TJ stays locked in and handled adversity well. College ready guard who is going to make a lot of noise this summer.
