Who Wants the Smoke: Day 2 2025 Top Performers
By: Kyle Sandy
2025 6-1 G Dallas George – GA Thunder – Calhoun County (Pictured)
After a three-point first half, George erupted in the second half against the Carolina Celtics finishing with 19 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. Dallas cashed in on five threes. George is a microwave scorer. He scored the ball off the catch and off the dribble from distance. He added a pair of drives to the basket to keep the defense honest.
2025 6-4 G Rico Williams – Head Hunters Elite – Eastside
Schools might want to stash away the name Rico Williams. At 6-foot-4, nearly 6-foot-5, Williams has terrific length on the perimeter. He is the primary ball handler for Team HHE but can also be used at both the two and the three. Rico is thin and wiry, but he plays with energy and loves to crash the glass. In a tight loss to the Carolina Celtics, Williams’ versatility shined through as he collected 11 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block.
2025 6-5 PF Daniel Stephen – Head Hunters Elite – Newton
Activity and athleticism are hallmarks of Daniel Stephen’s game. The springy big has long arms and a knack for earning second chance opportunities. Against the Carolina Celtics, Stephen made a major impact in the second half as he scored on putbacks and drew fouls. Daniel converted a pair of And-1s as he drew attention under the rim. Stephen wiped away shots and played above the rim on offense on his way to posting 9 points, 7 rebounds and 1 block. Daniel’s energy and developing low post game give him value at the next level.
2025 6-8 C Amajion Figgins – GA Thunder – Calhoun County
Figgins is an intimidating post presence. He has filled out over the course of his career with a strong frame that can dominate the paint in spurts. The lefty draws fouls and can convert from the foul line. When he gets post touches, Amajion is patient with the ball and is a willing passer that can find cutters. Figgins tallied 5 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 2 blocks against the Carolina Celtics.
2025 6-3 W Zechariah Canidate – GA Thunder – Calhoun County
Although he is listed at 6-foot-3, Canidate is capable of playing much bigger thanks to his electric leaping ability. Canidate explodes for rebounds, steals and blocks. The defensive ace is good at picking off passes in the press and can guard all positions. On offense, Canidate attacked downhill and used spin moves to finish at the rim with both hands. Zechariah opened Saturday morning with 8 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 3 blocks.
