OTR Hoops: Who Wants the Smoke – Top Unsigned Seniors – May 14, 2024

OTR returned to Atlanta this weekend for ‘Who Wants the Smoke?’ and the talent pool was once again loaded with prospects for all levels. Here, we break down some of the best unsigned seniors we saw this weekend.

Noah Holloway – 2024 – Formula Elite Academy

Noah Holloway is one of the more talented ‘24s still on the board in Georgia and he put the full package on display this weekend. Holloway is a big, athletic guard that can play above the rim and score at all three levels. There’s a level of finesse and creativity to his game that allows him to create scoring opportunities in the halfcourt or in transition. Holloway’s upside is through the roof and he’d make a great late pickup for any JUCO program.

Steven Barros – 2024 – Elite Playmakers

Steven Barros has flown relatively under the radar for most of his high school career, but he generated a ton of positive chatter amongst the scouts this weekend. Barros is a strong 6’6 forward with polished footwork and some solid finishing ability. He scored it well around the paint and also looked comfortable on the perimeter. Unsigned forwards seem to be a hot commodity right now and Barros would fit the bill for a lot of college programs still looking.

Quay Wallace – 2024 – Georgia Canes Unsigned

Quay Wallace put forth several strong showings throughout the weekend, showcasing the variety of ways in which he can impact a game. Wallace is willing to all the dirty work, whether it be battling with bigger players in the post or fighting for boards. He excelled in his role as a utility piece for the Canes but also showed the ability to takeover and score when he needed to. Quay Wallace will end up making a college coach very happy next year.

Devin Bowers – 2024 – Georgia Canes Unsigned

Every year, we see a couple of late bloomers gain traction at the end of their senior year and that’s been the case with Devin Bowers this spring. He’s a tough, hard-nosed point guard that can dissect defenses and generate scoring looks. Bowers is a smooth operator in the pick and roll, capable of knocking down the three-ball consistently when defenders choose to go under. He’s recently picked up offers from Lyon and Brewton-Parker.

Jett Garnham – 2024 – Recruiting Boost Australia Orange

Recruiting Boost brought over a group of players from Australia for two weekends of competition and Jett Garnham has made the most of his opportunity so far. Garnham went for 20+ points on multiple occasions this weekend and helped lead Recruiting Boost to some impressive wins. He shot the three well and wasn’t afraid to scrap for points around the basket too. Garnham has built up some solid momentum ahead of the live period next week and should garner some attention.
