OTR Sweet 16 Folds Fab 5 Standouts – April 25, 2023

Folds’s Fab 5- 5 standouts from Sweet 16

By: Josh Folds

24’ G Justus McNair –  I was really impressed with Justus and his overall game apparently so were others as he was offered a Division 1 scholarship from Radford during the event. One of the most talented guards I saw all weekend with a lightning quick first step and a strong on the ball defender. This young man competes at a high level and has a ton of upside. He made a ton of noise all weekend long and the recruiting process should really start to ramp up throughout the summer and into his senior season.

24’ Jeremy Cook – At first you may think Jeremy is undersized and would struggle against bigger guards. Then you watch him and realize he is one of the best players on the floor. This young man played with a ton of passion and energy and was a spark plug for his teammates. High energy guard who brings it every possession. One of the most exciting players I watched all weekend. His stock will continue to rise and trust me you do not want to matchup against him he creates fits on both ends of the court.

23’ Ty Owens- Ty is fairly new to On the Radar events but has attracted a ton of attention in a short amount of time. Ty was a key piece in his teams 4-0 performance this past weekend and is a name to monitor as we round out the 2023 recruiting period. Ty is a college ready guard who is one of the best finishers you will find. He is always in attack mode and makes those around him better. He competes at a high level and is someone you want on your team.

24’ Caleb Jones-Dicks – I have seen Caleb now for 2 years play and every time I see him, he simply gets better. He is a difference maker for his squad and makes plays when needed. Strong college ready frame, smooth outside shot and fantastic finisher at the rim. Caleb and his squad Sunshine Elite are also new to On the Radar but this team is fun to watch and very well coached. They will continue to make noise as the season moves on.

24’ Jack Pfister – Man this young man is a banger I loved watching his style of play. He is relentless on the glass and is a great rim protector.  This is why we scout to find and recognize players like Jack. He is a flat out dog that doesn’t matter how strong or tall you are he is going to roll up his sleeves and go to work. Jack leaves everything he has on the floor and had a great overall weekend in Atlanta. Huge upside to his game and a name that will continue to attract interest.
