Marquette signee Ahmed Hill of Augusta, Georgia has eclipsed the 3,000 point mark for his prep career Tuesday night win. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard finished with 37 points on the night helping Aquinas High School advance to the next round of the state playoffs.
Ranked in the top 100 nationally, Hill is exactly the type of player that Coach Buzz Williams has recruited in the past to bring the success to Milwaukee. Williams led Marquette to the Elite Eight last year and has reached at least the Sweet Sixteen the past three seasons. Hill is an athletic shooting guard who will fit perfectly into the athletic style within the BIG EAST Conference. Hill should be able to match up well with most other guards on a nightly basis and he possesses the skill set to contribute on the offensive end. His early contributions should be linked with how consistent his three-point jumper becomes.
