Crawford to Georgia Southern

One of the biggest stock-risers of the 2025 circuit year was Georgia Canes 6-foot-1 guard Jayden Crawford. The class of 2026 prospect stepped onto the scene in March as a hidden gem. By the end of the July live period, Crawford became one of the most pursued available guards in the state.

His offer list was extensive which included schools such as Southern University, UNC Asheville, Morehead State, Georgia State amongst others. He also participated in the exclusive Overtime Elite league this fall.

Crawford’s momentum started early this spring with several breakout performances. Here is what Kyle Sandy reported from Who Wants the Smoke in May:

Jayden Crawford put on a show in the 9:10 PM time slot as he unleashed eight three-pointers en route to 26 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals in a 74-64 win. Crawford’s ascent is in full swing this spring, routinely hitting shots along the perimeter as the Canes have toppled opponent after opponent. Jayden’s sharpshooting can shift the momentum of a game in a hurry as he can pour in points quickly. Crawford can play both the 1 and the 2 in the backcourt. When he is off the ball, Jayden excels at moving to get free. He drained three of his triples from the corners and sank two off the bounce, one coming via a quick one-dribble sidestep.

Crawford suits up for Alexander High School this winter, which pairs him alongside Pops Dunson (Colorado State), forming a back court duo that is arguably the best in the state.

Georgia Canes coach Donte’ Medlock had this to say about Crawford’s ascension this year:

Crawford exceeded all expectations this past AAU season. He fully bought into our system. This combined with his talent and competitive mindset made him one of the hottest prospects on the OTR Circuit. Georgia Southern’s style of play fits him perfectly. He shoots the ball a high clip and will defend 94-feet. He has the potential to earn minutes as a freshman and make an immediate impact for the Eagles.

Crawford and the Cougars will open their season at home this Saturday, November 15, versus Peachtree Ridge.

Brown Chooses Kennesaw State

Senior guard Zyree Brown chose Kennesaw State last month as his collegiate destination. The 5-foot-10 point guard suited up for Sewer South this year on the OTR Circuit. He entered this spring as one of the most touted prospects after leading Pebblebrook to a Final Four appearance in Class 6A. He started the spring with a 41 point outing at The Opening and kept the momentum all year long.

Brown earned a reputation as one of the circuit’s top prospects, regardless of position, quickly this spring. This is what Josh Tec wrote on Brown’s game following the Atlanta Classic:

Brown is emerging as one of the very best on the OTR Circuit. He plays with so much electricity on offense. A blur with the ball, Brown gets to where needs to go with relative ease, and he has continued to show that he’s one of the best microwave shot makers in Georgia’s 2026 class. Normally, a 29-point game would be one of the major talking points of the weekend, but we’ve seen Brown do that multiple times already this spring. Add this past weekend to his rapidly growing resume.

Shun Williams had this to say about Brown’s game:

Zyree is a competitor who can put points on the board in a hurry. In time, I expect him to follow in the footsteps of former Kennesaw State guards Terrell Burden and current guard Simeon Cottle. Both are classified as smaller guards, but impact with toughness and scoring ability.

Brown will look to lead Pebblebrook to another 20-win season this year. They earned a two point victory over Decatur to start the season last weekend. They return to action on November 21st at home versus Kell High School.

Myles chooses Clark Atlanta

Class of 2026 point guard William Myles committed to Clark Atlanta University this month. The Etowah guard ran with Sewer South on the OTR Circuit this year. Check his highlights from this season courtesy of Kris Watkins and OTR Media:

Here is what OTR evaluator, Joel Hillsman, had to say about Myles’ game after seeing him at OTR Power 24 in 2024:

Myles is a 5’9 quick and tough guard. He is a fearless competitor that does not shy away from the big moments. Myles nailed the game-winning field goal on Friday night. On Saturday he averaged 14 points and 4 assists in two games with is quickness to the rack, his aggressive defense and his heady IQ in leading the offense. His play gained interest from coaches on site, and his ceiling is very high so watch for an uptick in his recruitment as he continues to develop into the high school season.

Recruiting Notes:

Class of 2026 guard Ben Uhde continues to be courted by college coaches in the Southeast. Last weekend he picked up an offer from Berry College while on campus. Uhde and his Johns Creek teammates return to action on Saturday at home versus the Walker School.
