PLAYERS FEATURED
Last weekend, the On the Radar Hoops Circuit hosted two strong events — Run for the Cup in Marietta, Georgia, and the Florida Invitational in Middleton, Florida. The OTR Circuit continues to serve as one of the premier spring platforms in grassroots basketball, pitting competitive club programs against quality opposition while delivering unmatched national exposure. These weekends allow teams to measure their progress, battle in meaningful games, and showcase both established standouts and up-and-coming prospects to evaluators, college coaches, and the wider basketball community. Here is a recap of the top storylines from both events from the 17U division.
Run for the Cup
Warner Robins All-Stars OTR went toe-to-toe with a strong Alabama Fusion EYCL squad in a back-and-forth contest, falling by just six points. Jarvis Williams (2028, 6’1” G) delivered the top individual performance with 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists, including five made threes. Edmund Dantes (2028, 6’4” F) is a player who ought to earn more recognition in upcoming months.

Gold Elite OTR posted a solid 3-1 weekend. Michael Wright Jr. (2027, 6’5” PG) stood out with consistent poise running the point, contributing 13 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds per game while adding shooting, playmaking, highlight dunks, and defense. Jaiden Williams (2029, 6’6” SF/PF) is an under-the-radar prospect worth monitoring.

Here is what OTR evaluator @RoseySportsUSA had to say about Williams at Run for the Cup:
2029 G Jaiden Williams has a nice feel for the game, very disruptive on defense, has great anticipation and scores well in transition.
Atlanta Panthers OTR featured strong guard play all weekend. Jourden Smoak (2027, 6’3” G) dropped 27 points in a matchup against Swain OYM 17U. Demetrius White (2028, 6’1” G) had a fantastic performance, hitting seven threes en route to 25 points against GTA. Nasir Mergan (2027, 6’4” PG) is a player you ought to get to know.

OTR evaluator @TriHoopsNet in North Carolina featured Smoak as one of his early stock-risers following his performance at Carolina Mania. Here is what he had to say:
Strong frame, plays with a chip on his shoulder, attacks from all three levels, and creates offense with his rebounding and downhill ability. Has shown the ability to absorb contact, knock down pull-ups and threes, and bring the mindset to be a real factor defensively.
Georgia Canes 17 claimed a bracket championship at Run for the Cup. AJ Williams (2026) led the way with 13 points per game and several clutch shots. Darrion McCray (2027, 6’7” Wing) is an under-the-radar talent to watch.

OTR scout, @_umarrashid, was courtside to watch the Canes earn the title. Here is what he had to say about Williams following the win:
AJ Williams (‘26) is a slithery scorer that plays calm and under control. He can lull you to sleep with his handle and has a quick first step to take advantage getting to the rim.
Atlanta Standard 17U produced one of the weekend’s more viral moments when Khyri Brown (2028, 5’10”) threw down a baseline dunk on a Promise Elite big. Toby Strech (2028, 6’1” SG) had the top statistical performance: 22 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds while going 5-for-5 from three. Dave Cannon (2027, 6’1” PG), a first-team all-state high school player, impressed with his floor leadership, pace, decision-making, low turnover rate, and over four assists per game.

Atlanta Kings 17U leaned on backcourt play from David Williams (2027, 6’2” CG) and Kevin Rogers Jr. (2027, 6’ PG). Kevin Rogers Jr. and Khalib Brooks (2026) are both prospects to watch.
Florida Invitational
PSB Tampa OTR dominated with a 3-0 record and an average margin of victory of 28 points. Reid Boland (2027, 6’8”) averaged 13 points and 8 rebounds while shooting 79% from the field. Ayaan Bhadouria (2027, 6’5” G) added 14 points and 6 rebounds per game. Versatile glue pieces Mo Turner (6’7” W) and Karson Coleman (6’4” G) should fit well at the next level — both defend, rebound, push tempo, and knock down shots.

Sunshine Elite also finished 3-0 with all mercy-rule victories. Jeremiah Williams posted three double-doubles in three games (14 ppg, 11 rpg) and was the most physical player on the floor. Enzo Fatone provided elite shooting range, connecting at a 42% clip from three-point range with an effortless stroke that stretched defenses. Fatone is a deep shooter who deserves stronger consideration.

OTR scout, Ross Van De Griek (@RossVDG14), featured Sunshine Elite's point guard, Cory McPherson, this weekend as well. McPherson continues to build his reputation as one of the premier guards on the OTR Circuit. Here is what he had to say:
McPherson is a lead guard who plays with great poise and patience when it comes to attacking downhill finishing at the rim on the offensive end. In addition to his scoring, he was playmaking for his teammates. His mix of scoring and playmaking continues to set his team up for success every time he steps onto the floor.
OBT Hoops battled in a competitive, neck-and-neck game against Mia Hoops, with high energy and both teams fighting hard throughout. Brian Benitez (2026, 6’2” Guard) was one of the team’s top performers, while Andrew Hernandez (2027, 5’8” Point Guard) is an under-the-radar player who needs more attention.
