MARIETTA, Ga. — The second stop on the On The Radar Battleground tour took over Marietta. Several of the best middle school teams in the region took center stage in the Atlanta suburb, and here’s who stood out:

King Leverette - AE5 - 2030
Solid glue piece/utility guard for this group. Made most of his impact off the bench and did a lot of the dirty work for AE5. Physical, finished well around the rim, rebounded well, and capitalized defensively. Knew his role well and helped his team go 2-1 on the weekend.

King Abrams - Atlanta Celtics Jr. 3SSB - 2030
Might have been one of the biggest standouts amongst his age group on the weekend. Posseses good size off the wing already and has a skill set that is advanced beyond his years. Can get to the basket with ease, flashes good athleticism and is comfortable creating with the ball in his hand. One of the names to star early.

Michael Davis - AEBL Peachtree - 2030
Michael was the head of a well balanced AEBL group and was kind of a flash of two tales. He showed positive signs at the guard position being able to push the break, get his guys involved and using his frame to get easy shots at the rim. As he continues to improve on the shooting end and work on his hoops iq he will only add to the dynamic of this group.

Tallen Pinson - Game Elite - 2030
Is slowly growing into a household name amongst his age group, Tallen was one of the more skilled guards in the event. He plays at a very even keel pace showing he’s never flustered and flashes some good foot work for his age. Confident ball handler that can score and create his own shot at will and also does a good job involving his teammates. Rebounds well as a guard and has sneaky size to him at the pg spot. Continued efforts on the defensive end and being vocal will only turn him into a more dangerous player.

Anthony Moreno - Game Elite - 2030
Is another guard that’s made some waves and brings the swagger to Game Elite. He has a streetball feel and handle to him and has built his reputation off scoring and flashy moves, but the more you watch him over the course of the game you see how he can impact all facets of the game. Not usually the biggest player on the court, he’s turned himself into a respectable defender and one that can get in your grill and fluster the offense. Does a good job getting to the ft line and just making that extra pass to get others involved for easy baskets and wins. The work continues to show with him.

Christian Van Dorn - Game Elite - 2030
CVD turned heads this weekend due to his play, size and athleticism as well. Long wing that can put the ball on the floor and create instant offense and use his size to capitalize at a high level. Plays well in transition and keeps the game easy.

Timothy Battle - Game Elite - 2031
Timothy brought some good size to the Game Elite group already standing about 6’4 and at this age that lead to him feasting on easy buckets. Strong post presence that finished everything inside, snagged rebounds and altered a lot of shots. You can see he’s still developing and adding to his tools but the more he puts it together, the lethal the final product can be.

Santi Zuniga Decaro - Atlanta Ballers - 2030
While it wasn’t the best weekend record wise for Atlanta Ballers they brought a good blend of energy and culture to the event and a few pieces leading with Santi. He was a crafty guard that was a confident ball handler and played with the ball on a string. Even with the pieces around him he still found ways to get his guys involved and play good team ball. He’s best when pushing the break and controlling the O. Flashy guard with some good tools that will continue to look to turn heads this summer.
