Beckham Black - Southeastern Preparatory Academy - 2027

Black is arguably one of the top-ranked point guards as well as overall players in the country, according to multiple scouting services. Standing at 6-foot-3, Black makes excellent decisions with the basketball in his hands, and he often at times gets his teammate CJ Rosser involved in the action. He has a great understanding of floor spacing and timing when it comes to his passing ability, as well as opening up the floor for scoring on all three levels. On the defensive end, his athleticism and frame allow him to be effective in the passing lanes, guard heavily on the ball, and rebound well for his size. Overall, Black could play a huge role this upcoming season for Southeastern Prep.

Cayden Daughtry - Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale) - 2027

Daughtry operates as a pass-first guard, where he can split defenders with his ability to attack the basket and kick out to open shooters. He has a tight handle that remains under control, allowing him to navigate to his spots and score on all three levels. On the defensive end, he applies relentless ball pressure, quick-footed movement, and athleticism where he can cover the passing gaps. Overall, he has improved his physical strength, and he can finish around the rim while being unafraid to absorb contact.

Aaron Britt Jr. - The Villages Charter - 2027

Britt is a true point guard who makes his teammates better around him on the offensive end. Standing at 6-foot-2, Britt has built his game where he allows his quickness and decision-making to be effective. On the defensive end, he is a reliable and quick guard who competes with both pressure and effort, and he can cover the passing gaps, often turning steals into scores in transition. He also plays with a ton of length and is unafraid to challenge himself on the boards, where he limits the opposition from getting second-chance scoring opportunities.

Drew Jackson - Episcopal School of Jacksonville - 2027

Jackson does a great job when it comes to attacking downhill with purpose when he has the basketball in his hands. He has also added a smooth mid-range jump shot where he can be effective both off the catch and off the bounce. His quick first step allows him to get past the defense and finish at the rim with either hand. Look for a strong senior season for the 6-foot point guard.

Dwight “DJ” Gaines - Westminster Academy - 2027

Gaines can orchestrate the offense with the ability to have an impressive feel for the pick-and-roll, drive-and-kick passing, and not get rattled when being pressured by opposing guards. His decision-making on the offensive end is sharp for his age, and has great court awareness when he can create his own shot. On the defensive end, he has quick hands and active feet, which allow him to apply constant ball pressure. Overall, he is not an overwhelming athlete but uses his high IQ to make an impact on both ends of the floor. He brings a ton of confidence and maturity to a guard-heavy lineup this season.

Myles Fuentes - DME Academy - 2027

Fuentes is a pure point guard who consistently operates with tempo and creates for his teammates on the offensive end. He has a confident mid-range jump shot as well as strong passing skills on the move, where he can drive-and-kick to open shooters. He impacts the game without needing to be the primary scorer and has a great understanding of how he can elevate his game in any given system. On the defensive end, he is quick and elusive when it comes to his movement, where he can stay in front of opposing guards, disrupt offensive flow, and be active in the passing lanes. Overall, he has a great feel and understanding of the game, and he will have a strong senior season.

Gavin Reed - Coral Glades - 2027

Reed is an advanced point guard who doesn’t need to be the primary scorer to make an impact. He is quick and makes sound decisions when he has the basketball in his hands and can command the offense. Coming off a strong summer playing with Team Gold Coast on the On The Radar Hoops circuit, Reed had impeccable timing to find his teammates in the open court, whether it was in a half-court set or in transition. On the defensive end, he applies constant ball pressure as well as showcasing his speed to cover the passing lanes.

Tai Bell - Columbus - 2028

Bell possesses a great influence on the game, where he plays with an impressive pace and can make smart decisions when he has the basketball in his hands. He rarely forces passes and often finds open teammates for a clean look to score. On the offensive end, he can score on all three levels, whether it’s creating his own shot off the bounce or off a catch. On the defensive end, he is disruptive when it comes to pursuing the passing lanes and is quick when it comes to staying in front of opposing guards. Overall, his tight handle on offense and the ability to impact the game in multiple ways speak volumes. He is projected to be a high-major guard who can play both on and off the ball.

Johnas Maurice - Oak Ridge - 2028

Maurice is an explosive guard when he has the basketball in his hands on the offensive end. He plays with a ton of confidence when it comes to attacking the paint and scoring through multiple defenders. On the defensive end, he has quick hands and feet to stay in front of opposing guards. He is also very active when it comes to pursuing the passing lanes where he can generate steals and deflections, which often lead to scores on the opposite end. Overall, Maurice has defined himself as a true playmaker who can impact the game on both ends of the floor. Expect Maurice to continue having a steady recruitment as he remains one of the top point guards in the junior class.

Quentin Mosby - IMG Academy - 2028

Mosby shows a ton of confidence when it comes to initiating the offense, where his tempo and patience are mature for his age. He does a great job when it comes to not rushing or forcing a bad shot when he has the basketball in his hands. He’s comfortable when it comes to getting off a solid shot at the rim, whether it’s coming off ball screens or in isolation. On the defensive end, he brings energy when it comes to guarding the opposing team’s primary ball handler as well as showcasing active hands in the passing lanes. He also plays with a high motor, and he can crash the boards and showcase his athleticism when pursuing the boards. Overall, he has a great understanding of timing and spacing, and he doesn’t get rattled when being blitzed by opposing guards. Overall, he will need to be more consistent when it comes to his jump shot, as well as play primarily as a combo guard more than a point guard due to his size.

King McMillian - Hilliard - 2028

McMillian has an offensive game that has become more polished, where he has defined himself as both a scorer and playmaker. Beyond his ability to score on all three levels, he consistently makes the right reads when he has the basketball in his hands. On the defensive end, he competes and plays with energy that feeds off his teammates, where he battles in the passing lanes, snatches timely rebounds, and pushes the tempo in transition. Overall, his ability to be a two-way player has separated him from other guards in his class.

Michai White - Prolific Prep - 2028

White is a true floor general who isn’t afraid to push the tempo in transition but is adept at operating the offense in the half-court. He is quick to get to his spots where he can score on all three levels. On the defensive end, he constantly applies ball pressure and uses his quick hands to be disruptive in the passing lanes. Overall, he influences the game with not just his scoring, but the ability to get his teammates involved and provide instant energy that sets the tone. Overall, he demonstrates great body control when it comes to finishing at the rim through contact against bigger opponents. White is projected to be a multi-positional prospect whose upside remains high as he has received offers from over two dozen Power 4 schools.

Zaire Colbert - Fort Walton Beach - 2029

The 6-foot-1 point guard is a gifted scorer who can score on all three levels on the offensive end and displays a high basketball IQ for his age. He also displays great court vision, as he can find open teammates on the move, as well as showcasing toughness, as he can finish at the rim while absorbing contact. On the defensive end, he brings versatility, as he can guard multiple positions, be active in the passing lanes, and generate steals that turn into scores in transition.

Camryn Lee - The Villages Charter - 2029

The 5-foot-11 point guard is fast and productive when it comes to having a strong understanding of the position. He can be a vital scoring option as well as adept at getting his teammates involved on the offensive end. On the defensive end, he brings good positional size, where he can stay in front of opposing guards and showcase his athleticism when it comes to covering the passing gaps. Overall, Lee is capable of being both a scoring option as well as a menace on the defensive end who could be in line for a strong sophomore season.

Boston Sheppard - Providence School - 2029

Sheppard is an explosive guard with a quick first step when it comes to creating separation from the defense when he has the basketball in his hands. He has shown the ability to knock down shots from the perimeter as well as the mid-range. He has a balanced skill set where he can get to the rim and is unafraid when it comes to scoring through contact against multiple defenders. On the defensive end, he makes plays happen with his speed and relentless energy, whether it’s applying ball pressure or being active in the passing lanes. Overall, his willingness to compete on both ends of the floor could add another level to his all-around game as he is just entering his sophomore season.

Nasir Anderson - Prolific Prep - 2027

One of the country’s best point guard prospects, Anderson is no stranger to this kind of list. He’s a power guard who’s difficult to stop from getting to the rim. Anderson has an impressively strong frame to pair with an advanced skillset on drives as well as high-level finishing at the rim. He has plus athleticism too. Florida currently has as good of a crop of guards as we’ve seen in one state, and Anderson is right up there with the best of them.
