I got a chance to take a quick trip to Macon, Georgia for the Heart of Georgia Classic and it was no disappointment with the talent that was there. I got a chance to see some new names as well as some familiar ones:
Javoris Parker Jr. - Chosen Elite - 2032
Javoris Parker Jr. showed flashes of dominance throughout the weekend, playing a key role in helping Chosen Elite capture the 12U division championship. He plays with a high basketball IQ and a strong feel for the game, consistently making the right reads. Parker uses his body well to control the glass and positions himself effectively to make plays from anywhere on the floor. Overall, he is a productive and instinctive prospect with a well-rounded impact.
Messiah Brown - Macon GA Fam - 2031
Messiah Brown set the tone early in an 8:30 AM matchup, coming out ready and helping lead his team to a win. He was difficult to contain in the open floor, using his body effectively to attack the basket in transition. Brown did a great job breaking down the defense and creating opportunities for his teammates with strong playmaking. He also showcased his shooting ability, knocking down multiple three-point shots with confidence.
Chandler Martin - Chosen Elite - 2031
Chandler Martin played a key role in Chosen Elite’s run to the championship game on Sunday. He made a strong impact with his rebounding on both ends of the floor, consistently securing possessions and creating second-chance opportunities. Defensively, he protected the rim well, blocking and altering multiple shots while establishing himself as a physical presence. Overall, he showed his value as an impactful two-way player, contributing effectively on both the offensive and defensive ends.
Tyler Battle - Georgia Rebels - 2030
Tyler Battle is a dynamic, quick-twitch guard who consistently used his speed to break down defenders and get downhill. He served as the engine of the offense, setting the tone early and keeping his team in rhythm throughout the game. Battle’s ability to create off the dribble and control the pace made him a key factor in his team’s success.
Kayden Busby - Warner Robins Allstars - 2029
Kayden Busby showcased a polished offensive game, consistently knocking down multiple mid-range shots with confidence. He displayed a soft touch around the rim and finished effectively in traffic. Defensively, he remained disruptive and active, generating deflections by playing the passing lanes. Overall, Busby is an intriguing all-around prospect who impacts the game on both ends of the floor.
Ar’Monis Jefferson - HezzyFam - 2029
Ar’Monis Jefferson controlled the glass with his athleticism and physicality, making a strong impact on both ends of the floor. He showed the ability to get to his spots offensively, knocking down multiple pull-up jumpers and floaters with confidence. Jefferson’s activity and toughness stood out throughout the game. Widely regarded as one of the top tight end prospects in the state and country for the Class of 2029, Kyrei Turner is a versatile two-sport athlete with a strong feel for the game. On the basketball floor, he uses his body well in the paint, plays with physicality around the rim, and displays soft hands with the ability to finish through contact. Turner’s toughness and presence inside make him an impactful player on both ends.
