I got a chance to take a quick trip to Macon, Georgia for the Heart of Georgia Classic and it was no disappointment with the talent that was there. I got a chance to see some new names as well as some familiar ones:

Rowan Woodrich - Devin Butts Elite - 2027:

Rowan Woodrich brings a relentless presence to the floor, dominating the paint with his physicality and nonstop motor. A true enforcer inside, he owns the glass and makes his impact felt on every possession, protecting the rim with authority by blocking and altering shots at a high level. Opponents quickly learn that nothing comes easy around him. Woodrich sets the tone defensively with his toughness and energy, and when it comes to scoring, he delivers with power and purpose. While he has the ability to step out and face up, his bread and butter is down low, where he punishes defenders with his back to the basket and finishes through contact.

Zamari Paulk - Turner County - 2028:

Zamari Paulk made his presence felt on both ends of the floor, showcasing his ability to impact the game in multiple ways. Defensively, he took on the challenge of guarding multiple positions, locking in with intensity and versatility. On the offensive end, he responded by scoring in bunches, showing confidence and rhythm when his team needed it most. With his two-way ability and competitive edge, Paulk is quickly becoming a name to watch and one that will continue to echo throughout basketball circles.

Brayden Henry - Devin Butts Elite - 2028:

Brayden Henry is a high-upside prospect with the tools to develop into a dominant force in the paint. He brings a relentless motor on the glass, consistently attacking rebounds on both ends while protecting the rim with strong timing and presence. Henry’s versatility stands out offensively, as he can face up and make plays, but is especially effective with his back to the basket where he uses his size and physicality to create problems. His inside presence and toughness make him a difficult matchup and a name worth watching moving forward.

Najee Reynolds - Devin Butts Elite - 2028:

Najee Reynolds is a dynamic, quick, and strong guard who makes his presence felt in every aspect of the game. He plays with a relentless motor, crashing the boards at a high level and competing beyond his position. Offensively, he stretches the floor with his ability to knock down shots from deep while consistently applying pressure on defenses with his downhill attacking and physical drives. Reynolds’ all-around impact and competitive edge were on full display, earning him 16U Championship MVP honors and solidifying himself as a standout performer.

Tre Embry - Warner Robins Allstars - 2029:

Tre Embry is a quick, explosive guard who consistently made his presence felt on the offensive end. He attacks the rim with confidence and speed, putting constant pressure on the defense. Embry also proved to be a dangerous perimeter threat, catching fire from deep and knocking down multiple three-pointers throughout the game. With his scoring ability and aggressive mindset, he kept defenses on edge every possession.

Dontavious Griggs Jr - HezzyFam - 2029:

Dontavious Griggs Jr is a dynamic two-way guard who thrives in transition, using his speed and instincts to capitalize in the open floor. He remained highly active throughout the game, disrupting offenses by jumping passing lanes and creating consistent defensive pressure. His energy, effort, and ability to impact the game on both ends make him a true defensive pest and a catalyst for his team.

Lloyd Johnson - Devin Butts Elite (Welch) - 2027:

Lloyd Johnson is a dynamic scoring guard who consistently put the ball in the hole at a high level, looking nearly unstoppable throughout the weekend. He handles the ball well, showing poise and control while navigating through defenses and creating space for himself. He played with confidence, displayed a smooth offensive rhythm, and showed the ability to score from multiple levels while staying composed under pressure.
