OTR Hoops: Iverson Classic Standouts - Part 1
MIDDLETON, Fla.- The 4th Annual Iverson Classic has made its appearance in the Sunshine State. 32 teams from across the country, as well as outside the United States, are making an appearance in this session. Here is who stood out.

Neomar Flores - Tampa Catholic - 2027: Flores is a competent guard who has had to take over the primary point guard duties while Skoot Donald is dealing with a season-ending injury he sustained earlier in the season. On offense, Flores made a major impact, where he scored on all three levels, including a game-winning shot against Cardinal Gibbons. Flores was also impactful on the defensive end, where he was active in the passing lanes as well as on the glass. His contributions on both ends of the floor were a true difference maker in the win, where he could draw attention from coaches as the spring season approaches.

Ryan Hampton - DME Academy - 2027: Hampton was efficient from the opening tip, where he got out in transition, finishing around the rim, knocking down mid-range jump shots, and knocking down shots from the perimeter. He created for his teammates in the half-court, where his crisp passing found teammates on the move. On the defensive end, he brought a balanced attack where he was altering shots at the rim as well as guarding out on the perimeter, where his length and athleticism played to his advantage. Standing at 6-foot-7, his versatility will bring a ton of attention to college coaches as he is poised to have a huge summer ahead on the recruitment trail.

Deandre Harvey - The Rock School - 2026: Harvey displayed his two-way presence on both ends of the floor in a wire-to-wire win over ALBA Berlin (Germany). On offense, he was getting to his spots off the ball as well as when he was the primary ball-handler. He finished with 23 points, six rebounds, five assists, and five steals in the win. Harvey has played with a ton of poise and confidence this season from the lead guard position, where he could make an immediate impact at the next level.
Terrell James - West Oaks Academy - 2026: James set the tone early for his teammates with his facilitating from the lead guard position in a nail-biting win over The New School (Arkansas). On offense, James scored in a variety of ways, whether it was at the rim or out on the perimeter. James played with maturity and confidence throughout the game, which separates him from other guards in the class. On defense, he was aggressive when it came to guarding on the ball and is an above-average rebounder for his size. As his senior season is nearing an end, he is drawing interest from Bethune-Cookman, Rhode Island, Tennessee State, and several others.

Jeremiah Jones - Impact Christian Academy - 2026: Jones was active from the opening tip in the win over Bilingual Academy, where he was getting his teammates involved as well as finishing at the rim. He also showed his ability to where he can score from multiple levels and helped keep his team afloat. On the defensive end, he was effective in the passing lanes, where his speed and athleticism allowed him to get deflections and steals, which led to scores on the opposite end. Jones’ combination skillset of being a confident point guard as well as an elite off-the-ball defender should draw some eyes from college coaches.
MJ McCalla - Victory Christian Academy - 2026: McCalla continues to have a strong senior season where he overpowers the opposition with his strength and physicality on the offensive end. He is unafraid when it comes to his efforts on the glass and finishing putbacks, as well as pushing the basketball up the floor in transition. On offense, he is a consistent finisher when it comes to playing around the rim as well as expanding his range into becoming a three-level scoring threat. In the win over Westminster Academy, McCalla finished with a double-double (20 points and 12 rebounds). He could bring a ton of energy to both ends of the floor at the next level.
