Darrell Dickens III G/F 6'4 2026 Mt. Vernon

I've seen his name circulate on social media and was anticipating his matchup. He started off the contest feeling out the game and once it went on showed his strengths as a ball handler and a strong ability to get to the rim. He has good downhill speed, sneaky athleticism, and likes to play above the rim attacking the defense the best way he can. Did a good job getting to the FT line and showed a comfortable jump shot throughout the contest. 22pts in a big win over Hebron Christian and with this play he will continue to raise eyebrows.

Gabe Alterman G 5'9 2026 Mt. Vernon

G.A. might not be the biggest player on the floor most nights but his play and skill set keep Mt. Vernon in winning positions while making sure his guys get touches. Not scared to fight for boards, get gritty on the defensive end and go right at your defense, he is one of the more underrated guards in the state. He plays the game like a seasoned vet, proven winner, and just does the little things needed to run a unit. Continue to keep your eye out for his play and don't overlook him too much.

Kenny LaRue 5'11 G 2026 Dacula

It seems like a lot of teams are emphasizing the defensive end of play as LaRue led the day with 8 steals in the contest. He displayed good footwork, was an in-your-chest defender, and capitalized at the FT line to keep this contest out of reach for Dacula. The senior will look to keep building off of these performances and being the leader defensively for this group.

Case Presley 6'3 G 2028 Dacula

CP showed a lot of promise in his play, and while only a sophomore he had some big moments in the contest. He threw down a monster poster slam which might have been the only one on the day and that play alone changed the entire trajectory of the game. He displayed good length and was able to use it to his advantage on both sides of the ball.

Micah Jones 6'6 F/G 2026 North Gwinnett

Micah was the hometown hero putting on for the hosting North Gwinnett Bulldogs. He wasted no time showing why and how this team will revolve around his play this season. Good frame, he was best attacking the rim and getting downhill. He also showed off the range, torching some 3s and showing off the talent. Teams know he is the focal point and even in a tough loss he still was able to put up 28pts.

Jayden Crawford 6'1 G 2026 Alexander

JC was business as usual. He didn't really get going offensively until the fourth quarter showing off his baseline jumper, but he stayed poised and showed his defensive tenacity picking up full court all 4 quarters and slowing down any type of offense Cherokee tried to muster. Just a solid guard who knows his role, does not play out of his game and keeps his group in line.

Torian Greene 6'2 G 2026 Alexander

Continues his gritty two-way play that he displayed this summer and continues to churn out standout performances. Dating back to the Powder Springs showcase and Jared Cook classic, TG's defensive presence really brings quality depth and an edge to this group. He is looking more comfortable shooting the ball and contributing offensively but his calling card is his defense. He understands his role well, wants the assignment of the opposing team's best player and has a big hand in making this team one of the more dangerous teams in the state. The work is showing with TG.

Will Dopfer 6'7 G/F 2026 Lambert

Could see himself as the Day 1 MOP. Very confident and emphatic game. Usually known for his rim-running presence and above-the-rim play in transition, it was his one-dribble pull-up that was torching the defense and showing another dynamic to his game. His size alone was a matchup problem but his ability to show his versatile skill set, keep the game and his moves simple, and score at a consistent rate will lead him to having a big senior season.

Sean Hamilton 6'5 F/G 2026 Cherokee

Did his best to put the team on his back in the matchup against Alexander. Since Coach V has taken over Cherokee he schedules his team to face all different styles of play which really helps mold his players for the season and this matchup was one of them. It was a good test for Cherokee to see where they are and Hamilton answered the call. Alexander couldn't do much with his size and frame and once he got rolling, he knocked down two deep 3s near the volleyball line. Solid footwork and base, showed the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the line with ease. Hamilton will look to continue bringing another dimension and dynamic to this team to get them over those tough matchups. 21pts in a tough loss.
