Five-star power forward CJ Rosser announced on Thursday that he has named his final seven schools. The 6-foot-10 senior power forward out of Southeastern Prep Academy in Maitland, Florida, will choose between Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, NC State, North Carolina, and USC.

Rosser is the nation’s top-ranked recruit on all recruiting platforms and is scheduled to take official visits to each of his seven finalists. Rosser will visit North Carolina (September 11-13), NC State (September 18-20), Miami (September 23-25), Arkansas (September 28), Kentucky (October 1), and USC (October 4), before wrapping up his official visit tour with Louisville (October 22).

Before trimming his list down to seven, Rosser was being recruited by Alabama, Auburn, BYU, Cincinnati, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi State, Syracuse, TCU, Texas A&M, UCF, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest.

Before coming to Southeastern Prep, Rosser played in his home state of North Carolina at Northern Nash High School in Rocky Mount. During his sophomore season, Rosser averaged 18.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game for the Knights, who finished the 2024-2025 season with a 20-6 record and reached the second round of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) state playoffs. During his freshman season, Rosser averaged 10.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game for the Knights, who finished with a 21-8 record and reached the third round of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) state playoffs. 

During the Grassroots season, Rosser played for his hometown program, Team United, on the Nike EYBL circuit, where he averaged 16.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game during league play. 

During his junior season at Southeastern Prep, Rosser averaged 16.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. He also earned All-First Team honors from the Sunshine Independent Athletic Association (SIAA) National Division and was named to the All-Southeast First Team by USA Today. 

During the FIBA U16 World Cup in Mexico, Rosser played a key role representing the United States, where he averaged 13.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game, helping his team earn the Gold Medal in 2025.

Scouting Report on CJ Rosser: Rosser has an impressive skill set that allows him to impact the game from multiple positions. He demonstrates good patience in the half-court, where his tempo doesn’t get rattled by opposing guards and bigs. On the offensive end, he can stretch the defense with the ability to score on all three levels, as well as rarely forcing action. On the defensive end, his length speaks volumes, as he can contest shots at the rim, disrupt the passing lanes, and guard multiple positions effectively. In transition, he runs the floor exceptionally well for his size and drags opposing bigs away from the basket with the ability to handle the ball in the mid-range and perimeter. Overall, Rosser is projected to play a pivotal role at the next level, as his potential in the NBA remains a strong possibility as well. His ability to score on all three levels and defend multiple positions makes him a highly touted player in today’s modern game.
