The months following the July viewing period are always busy, filled with visits, offers and commitments for high school basketball players. We are seeing plenty of movement around the state of Georgia, with players seeing their hard work rewarded with offers, while others are deciding upon their home for next fall.

Georgia Legacy 2027s with Offers

The young men from the Georgia Legacy program are seeing the fruits of their labor since the end of the July viewing periods. The preparation and the hard work were noticed by college coaches all around the region. Here is a list of offers to date:

Hampton Hill 5’9” PG (Horizon High School | Cumming, Georgia)

Offers:
Huntingdon College (Montgomery, Alabama)
Toccoa Falls College (Toccoa Falls, Georgia)
Lagrange College (Lagrange, Georgia)

Hill earned a reputation as one of the top point guards on the OTR Circuit this past year. His steady hand with the ball combined with his competitiveness always made Legacy a contender. Director of OTR video, Kris Watkins, wrote “He has a good handle and change of direction he uses to get to his spots and is a tough shot maker off the bounce.”

Keaton Watkins 6’7” PF (Fannin County High School | Blue Ridge, Georgia)

Offers:
Huntingdon College (Montgomery, Alabama)
Bryan College (Dayton, Tennessee)
Lagrange College (Lagrange, Georgia)

Watkins is one of the more underrated big men from the OTR Circuit. He quietly went about being productive in the middle 1/3 of the floor as a rebounder, interior scorer and defender. OTR scout, Cameron Ross, wrote “Physically imposing inside. Rebounds well on both ends and protects the paint. Converted numerous second chance opportunities. Stretched the defense to the outside knocking down shots. Soft touch inside and he finished with both hands.”

Will Bishop 6’3” SG (Cartersville High School | Cartersville, Georgia)

Offers:
Bryan College (Dayton, Tennessee)

Bishop has earned the reputation as one of the best shooters in the state. He routinely turned in double-figure scoring for Legacy this spring/summer on the OTR Circuit. Built with good size and underrated athleticism, Bishop is a terrific collegiate prospect.

Zane Hereford 6’2” SG (Cherokee High School | Canton, Georgia)

Toccoa Falls College (Toccoa Falls, Georgia)

Hereford appears to be finding his rhythm heading into his senior year. A good athlete who brings consistent energy to the floor, he can be a momentum changer for his team. And as he showed at last weekend’s SHR Fall Showcase, he is getting comfortable with his jumper as well. Read more on his game HERE.

All Georgia Elite’s Next Up

AGE saw two of their seniors visit Indiana State last month. This month, one of their younger prospects is gaining momentum on the court and in the eyes of college coaches. Class of 2029 guard Daylen Williams earned an offer from FAMU recently. He caught our eye at the OTR Breakout Camp in August as one of the transition finishers at camp.

Warner Robins All-Stars Forward Earns Offer

Last month we reported that Tyler Harris (Warner Robins High School) was set to visit Huntingdon College this month. On that visit, he earned an offer from Coach Zac Richards and staff. Last season, in Richards’ second season on staff, the Hawks earned a 22-7 record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history.

Harris, a 6-foot-5 forward, has a reputation as an athlete and defender. His versatility and coachability figure to be strong traits that will translate to the collegiate level.

Notable Commitments

Chase Lumpkin gave his verbal commitment to Coach Nate Oats and the University of Alabama this week. The 6-foot-5 guard is one of the best in the country at that position. He will suit up for the Indians at McEachern this winter. Read more analysis on his game from Ross Van De Griek HERE.

Senior guard at North Cobb Christian, Grant Robich, gave his commitment to the University of Montevallo in Alabama. He has earned a reputation as a crafty play-maker and a hard-nosed competitor. See highlights of him below:
