The On The Radar Circuit and Open division championships were decided this past weekend in the Final Run event. The Final Run event marked the end of the travel basketball season. Champions were decided in the 15U, 16U and 17U age groups in both the OTR Circuit and open divisions. Here are some of the standouts from the Final Run.

Cameron Blackman - HWPO Hoops - 2028

Blackman is the OTR Circuit 16U Regular Season MVP. He is a strong, physical, and shifty guard who consistently impacts winning. He gets downhill, finishing through contact, and showing creativity at the rim. Blackman is a legitimate perimeter threat, particularly off the catch, highlighted by stripping the nets on four made three-pointers in the 16U championship game. Defensively, he brings consistent pressure, plays with high energy, moves his feet well to guard his yard, and uses his strength to guard without fouling. His ability to disrupt actions, contain drives, and compete on every possession stands out. In the 16U championship, Blackman posted 19 points, multiple assists, and a series of high-impact defensive plays which showcased his ability to influence the game on both ends. As he continues hone his overall skill set, Blackman profiles as a 2028 prospect with college-ready toughness, versatility, and a competitive motor.

Carmelo Williams - Georgia Canes - 2027

 Williams had a massive second half scoring 15 of his 19 points to lead Georgia Canes back from a 14-point deficit against Charlotte Aces in a bracket game. He has an athletic, wiry frame and shows strong positional versatility as a guard who can operate both on the ball and off it. He gets to his spots efficiently and creates clean scoring opportunities in rhythm. He rebounds well for his position, competes on both ends, and plays with confidence that elevates his team in big moments. Defensively, Williams is highly disruptive. He generates deflections, jumps passing lanes, and consistently turns steals into transition offense. His ability to convert defense into points was evident as he closed the bracket game with a defensive rebound and a fast-break dunk—an example of his instincts, motor, and ability to finish above the rim. Williams is a prospect college staffs should track closely as he continues to develop.

Landon Grundy - Sewer South - 2027

Grundy is a talented, efficient three-level scorer who consistently plays within himself and impacts the game beyond point production. He showed strong command as a secondary ball handler, getting to his spots both on and off the ball, getting others involved and maintaining a high level of play throughout the event. Defensively, Grundy is active and disruptive. He generates turnovers through deflections, jumped passing lanes for steals, and showed the ability to be physical without fouling. His most impactful performance at the Final Run came in the Red Bracket championship, where he scored 11 second-half points to go with multiple defensive plays down the stretch to help Sewer South secure a win over All Georgia Elite. Grundy’s blend of scoring versatility, defensive activity, and composure makes him a meaningful long-term prospect for college staffs keeping their eyes peeled for guards in the 2028 class.

Jaylen Nelson - Devin Butts Elite - 2027

Nelson is a lightning-quick 2027 guard with high-end athleticism, a quick first step, and disruptive defensive instincts that consistently impact winning. He has quick hands, jumps passing lanes, and turns deflections into immediate offense, showing strong anticipation and competitiveness on the defensive end. Offensively, Nelson is an efficient perimeter shooter who stripped the nets with five three-pointers as part of a 25-point bracket-game performance, displaying clean mechanics and confidence from deep. His ability to play downhill, finish with touch, and attack gaps fearlessly gives him multiple scoring avenues. Nelson’s blend of speed, shooting, defensive activity, and continued development makes him a guard college coaches should monitor closely in the 2027 class.

Anthony Moon - Team Person - 2027

Moon delivered an efficient performance with 19 points, multiple rebounds, and strong defensive impact for Team Person in a bracket game win. Moon showcased his tools of a mobile, flexible big/forward who plays with real intensity. He reads defenders well, scores in a variety of ways, and finishes with force through contact at the rim. His mobility allows him to cover space, defend ball screens, and anchor the paint as a physical rim presence where he blocks and alters shots. Moon’s combination of size, length, touch, rebounding ability and defensive toughness make him a frontcourt prospect college coaches should monitor.
