ORLANDO, Fla. — On the Radar Hoops is back in the Sunshine State for the second time this season, presenting the Orlando Invitational. 34 teams from across the state of Florida are on hand for this weekend’s event. Here is who stood out on Sunday:

Phoenix Desroches - Holiday Hoops 16U - 2029

Desroches is known for his length around the rim, where he can finish putbacks and alter shots on defense. His footwork has become elite for his age, where his upside continues to rise. He also added physicality on the interior to limit the opposition to one-and-done possessions. Keep an eye on this 2029 prospect as he will turn some eyes this spring.

Malachi Cadeau - Worldwide Soldiers 16U - 2027

Cadeau played an all-around game, finishing around the rim and unafraid to finish through contact on numerous occasions. His defensive presence was stellar as he was active in the passing lanes as well as protecting the rim. His length and upside will be intriguing to watch as we head into the spring.

Jamarius Williams - Next Era 15U - 2029

Williams was efficient and versatile when it came to his inside-out scoring presence on the offensive end. He relied heavily on the glass as well, where he was snatching rebounds on both ends of the floor. His playmaking on the defensive end while guarding multiple positions has taken huge strides heading into the spring. He finished with a near double-double in the win over Worldwide Soldiers.

Paidyn Turnquest - Worldwide Soldiers 16U - 2027

Turnquest took control of the offense from the lead guard position, where I was impressed with his decision-making. His ability to distribute the offense and get his teammates involved was impressive. On defense, he was quick when it came to moving his feet as well as having the ability to stay in front of opposing guards and jump the passing lanes. His two-way playmaking skills, along with his toughness and effort, helped secure the win.

Derrick Flowers - Empire Heat - 2027

Flowers played a huge role as the lead guard in a win over the Poinciana Yellow Jackets. He found teammates in stride as well as scoring on his own across all three scoring levels on the offensive end. He finished with 26 points and six assists in the win. His playmaking and growth have made huge strides this weekend and could be a huge factor for his team in the spring as well.

Trason Myers - Impact Nation 15U - 2029

Myers is a young guard who proved he can knock down shots off the catch as well as the bounce. He also turned his defense into offense with his ability to record steals, which led to scores on the opposite end. His poise and maturity go well beyond his years as he continues to learn the lead guard position.

Rhemy Patrick - Impact Nation 15U - 2028

Patrick can impact the game in a variety of ways, whether it’s as the lead guard or his play off the ball. He has a smooth release off the bounce, whether it’s from the perimeter or in the mid-range. On defense, he guarded multiple positions using his length and size to his advantage around the rim, as well as closing out shooters on the perimeter.

Landon Weeks - Jayhawks United 14U - 2030

Weeks showed his true poise and patience on the offensive end, where he was knocking down tough shots on the interior as well as from behind the arc. His efforts on the defensive end were stellar as well, where he used his length and guarded multiple positions. Knocked down a huge three to lift his team to a win over Florida Rebels Black.
