MARIETTA, Ga. — Sunday’s Tip-Off presented by Southern Hoops Report and On The Radar gathered several of the state’s top prospects and teams to Marietta for an exciting afternoon of fall scrimmages. Here’s who stood out: 

Jacody Terry - South Gwinnett - 2029 

Terry is a killer in the mid-range. He can absolutely light teams up in that area. It feels automatic for him. At the rim, he plays with control and poise. He’s laser focused, eyes on the rim, and undeterred by contact. His athleticism and versatility should lend well for a highly-productive sophomore season. 

Arthur Evans - Parkview - 2027 

The Pemberton brothers get a lot of the attention on this team, but Evans shined on Sunday. He secured plenty of rebounds and second-chance points via his high effort. He was an effective paint presence and helped give Parkview another source of production. 

BJ Love - Pebblebrook - 2027 

Pebblebrook has had plenty of good guards, and BJ Love looks like he’s going to be next in that lineage. He attacked with a purpose and looked to kick the ball to the perimeter. Anyone who has seen the Falcons enough knows that they like to shoot it from three, so that’ll be a valuable asset for them this season. Love was one of the key scorers on the team himself. He hit a game-winner to end their day. 

Jahmar Maurice - Woodstock - 2028 

By now, the state knows all about Maurice. He’s one of the most explosive scorers in Georgia. His athleticism seems to have taken a step forward too. He rose up for a poster that had one of the refs hype. He showed his three-level threat and got the balls to others around him. It was a good afternoon for one of the star guards of the area. 

Makhi Nsuk - Kell - 2030 

Nsuk has plenty of upside. He’s a young player who is still figuring it out, but he has a frame that puts him ahead of the curve. Listed at 6-foot-3, he looks bigger than that, and he has plus length and a build that looks like it’ll add strength pretty well. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him emerge as a forward to know in the next couple of years. 

Elijah Batubenge - Archer - 2028

Batubenge was an eye-opener on Sunday morning. He showed skill in the frontcourt with patience, footwork, and control. He was able to back players down and shake himself free to get good looks at the rim. 

KJ Reed - Alexander - 2029

Alexander may have its most talented core with its sophomore class. KJ Reed is one of those guys. His 3-point shot was on throughout Sunday. He knocked down several threes showing his range and threat on the perimeter. Pair that with plus athleticism and size, and he’ll be a player to watch this winter and over the next couple of seasons. 

Derek Williams - Alexander - 2029 

Williams has legit size at around 6-foot-9 with a strong build. He seems to have made tremendous strides since the summer. The game looks like it’s slowing down for him a bit. He is a defense-first guy right now. Williams was vocal on that end and showed that he was able to stick with perimeter players in addition to anchoring the paint. He’s one of the most promising sophomores in Georgia.
