OTR Hoops: Standouts from Summer Jam

The On The Radar Summer Jam was held at multiple locations this past weekend. Here is a look at the standouts from Friday where games were played at Central Gwinnett High School.

The On The Radar Summer Jam was held at multiple locations this past weekend. Here is a look at the standouts from Friday where games were played at Central Gwinnett High School.


Lucas Fainter - Georgia Legacy Premier - 2028

Fainer finished with 19 points in a tough contest against BCB. Fainter is a shooter that displayed he can shoot it off the bounce or the catch and has a quick trigger. He was very active on defense around the basket and on the perimeter and used that defense to turn it into offense. He was able to draw defenders in and created easy buckets for teammates.

Blaine Groce - BCB - 2028

Groce plays very hard and with confidence. He plays through contact at the rim and finishes strong at the rim with either hand. He displayed an very good perimeter game scoring off the bounce and the catch. His hard play also displayed his knack for getting rebounds and getting second chance points. He tallied 20 points in a variety of ways in a tough contest against Georgia Legacy Premier.

Cameron Blackman - HWPO - 2028

Blackman has an overall game that as he continues to develop will be a headache for opponents. Blackman is a scorer that picks his spots, creates for others with good vision, plays well in transition and is always under control. In two games we watched, both wins, he averaged 16.5 points and 3 assists.

Anderson Martin - Hoopgrind - 2028

Martin is a cat-quick guard with a quick trigger. He is a confident shooter that hit a couple of three-pointers in addition to multiple mid-range jumpers. He plays fast and likes to put pressure on the defense with his quickness and attacking of the lane when there. He finished with a team-high 15 points in a tough loss against HWPO.

Christian Grant - Warner Robins All-Stars - 2028

Grant showed poise in a tight win over Team Swain. That poise led to Grant hitting the game-winning bucket in the closing seconds for the win. He showed a nice touch from the perimeter by connecting on three three-pointers and used active defense to get his team easy transition buckets. Grant plays with a tenacious passion that highlights his poise even more.

Mykell Barnes - Warner Robins All-Stars - 2028

Barnes has plenty of upside and showcased it in multiple ways. He has very good hands on defense, is a confident shooter, has excellent vision in the open floor and is under control with his dribble. He can beat defenders off the dribble and finish at the rim or drop it off to a teammate for easy buckets.

Keanu Crump - Team Swain - 2028

Crump is a slasher that does not shy away from contact. He scores around the basket and through contact. He is very aggressive defender that uses his active hands to be a pest to create turnovers defensively which leads to easy buckets on offense. He plays with hustle and got to a number of 50/50 balls in tight loss to the Warner Robins All-Stars where he led his team with 13 points with multiple steals.

Marlin “Duece” Johnson - AJ Bouye Brown E32 - 2028

Johnson is a savvy and crafty guard that gets to the paint effectively and uses a deadly floater to score over taller defenders and creates for teammates with his deep penetration. He moves his feet well on defense and defends without fouling.

Naeem McKanney - Georgia Stunners - 2028

McKanney is a nimble and agile player for his size at 6’6. He scores in the paint and can hit the mid-range jumper. He uses his size to his advantage. In a Stunner win he tallied 24 points with multiple rebounds and ran the floor well in transition and finished at the rim multiple times.
