OTR Women's Hoops: 2028 Prospects On The Rise in Florida (Part 2)

We have passed the midway point of the 2025-2026 high school girls’ basketball season across the state of Florida. Here are some of the top prospects trending upwards in this year’s sophomore class.

Jada Clardy - Booker T. Washington (Pensacola) - 2028: Clardy is creative and effective on the offensive end, where she can be the lead guard as well as play off the ball at a high level. She has been consistent when it comes to scoring on all three levels, becoming one of the top-scoring sophomore guards in the state. Clardy has become one of the top defenders in the state as well, where she is averaging nearly seven rebounds and two steals per game this season. She currently holds offers from George Mason, Memphis, Miami, and others.

Kaitlyn Farr - Tocoi Creek - 2028: Farr is a confident scorer who can impact the game in a variety of ways with her smooth release in the mid-range as well as the ability to expand out onto the perimeter. Farr has a high-IQ and has a great feel for the game, where she can create a momentum shift in a hurry. On the defensive end, she is a high-level rebounder for her size, as well as having the ability to play with poise and confidence, turning steals into scores on the offensive end.

Mila Miller - Zephyrhills Christian Academy - 2028: Miller has a smooth and fluid shooting stroke when it comes to being effective on the perimeter. Her versatility on both ends of the floor continues to play a major role in her game, where she can play inside as well as outside on both ends of the floor. Her ability to guard multiple positions using her length and athleticism to her advantage continues to be a problem for opposing guards. Miller has an offer from the University of Northern Kentucky, but she could expect to land some power 4 offers before her high school career comes to an end.

Shaw Summer - St. Petersburg - 2028: Summer is a sensational scorer, whether it’s on the interior or expanding her game into the perimeter on the offensive end. Her size and athleticism allow her to be effective in the paint as a high-level rebounder and shot blocker. She is a consistent double-double threat, where she is averaging 16.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game this season for the Green Devils.

Riley Turknett - Seminole - 2028: Turknett has a mature game that goes beyond her years on both ends of the floor. On offense, she is aggressive when it comes to attacking at the front of the rim as well as displaying a ton of confidence in shooting from behind the arc. She also makes the right plays by driving and kicking out to her teammates on the move. On defense, she is versatile, where she can guard multiple positions and consistently jumps the passing lanes, getting deflections as well as steals.

Caeli Weaver - Bartram Trail - 2028: Weaver is one of the most consistent perimeter shooting threats in Northeast Florida, where her high-arcing release makes it difficult for opponents to block her shots. Standing at 6-foot-1, Weaver covers a lot of ground with her length and athleticism. Her versatility speaks a lot of volumes about how she can guard multiple positions and is a sensational rebounder for her size. Weaver is an exciting two-way prospect who could draw a ton of attention from college coaches as the grassroots season approaches.
