The OTR media crew has identified the top players in the state of Georgia this season. Here is a look at the upperclassmen guards who are on our radar before the new year. This week we provide a check-in with some of the best upperclassmen and their performances from the month of December.
Kate Harpring – Marist – 2026
Harpring is the consensus top point guard in the nation in the senior class. She is a North Carolina signee. She was busy in December. At the Sandy Spiel she went for 38 points and ten rebounds. At the Tampa Bay Invitational she scored 26 points in a win over North Florida Educational Institute. To cap the year, she dropped 33 points in a win over Cedar Shoals. Marist is 11-2 heading into the new year.
Coco Rudolph – Grayson – 2026
Rudolph is proving herself to be one of the very best in the state of Georgia regardless of position. Our staff watched her drop 30 points in a win at the Sandy Spiel last month. She followed that up with a 25-point effort at the Deep South Classic where she was named MVP of the tournament. Per Max Preps, she is averaging more than 26 points per game for the Lady Rams.
Trinitee Thomas – Warner Robins – 2027
The Demonettes are out to a solid 11-3 record this season. Thomas is a big reason for that early success with a reported 18 points per game. She is positioned to be one of the key recruiting targets for college coaches this spring and summer.
Makayla Roberson – River Ridge – 2026
River Ridge has a 7-4 record heading into the new year with key wins over Holy Innocents, Cherokee and Marietta. Roberson is a key ingredient for Jason Taylor’s team this season. The Samford signee has a reputation for timely shooting and heady play. She turned in notable performances with 27 and 22 points respectively in wins over Cherokee and Marietta.
Kyann Senior – Marietta – 2027
Senior is a unique player. She is 5-foot-9 and leads the state in double-doubles (6) while averaging nearly 14 rebounds per game. She is more than a hustle player as she can also light up the nets with perimeter jumpers. The Blue Devils are off to a 7-4 start to the season. With a talented young core, their future is bright. Senior will be at the core of the team’s success.

Kaleigh Heywood – Collins Hill – 2026
Heywood is one of the state’s top scorers checking in with 20 points per game average. The Eagles have a 9-3 record largely behind the efforts of the Alabama State signee. Her high point came with a 34-point, five rebounds, seven steals, five assists, and two blocks stat line in a win in the middle of December.
