OTR Commitment UPDATE – Paul Djobet to Miami – June 16, 2023

This morning class of 2023 wing Paul Djobet committed to the University of Miami (FL). The Orlando native is a 6-foot-7 prospect who attended West Oaks Academy and played with the Showtime Ballers on the travel circuit.

The On the Radar Hoops media team had many opportunities to watch and evaluate Djobet. He established himself as the top unsigned senior at the events this spring. He is a college ready athlete and a skilled scorer. Djobet scores the ball off the bounce at the rim, shows range beyond the 3-point arc, and projects to be a player who can create a shot late in the shot clock at the NCAA level.

Jonathan Hemingway from OTR Sweet 16 Session I

One more available 2023 who is college ready is Paul Djobet from the Showtime Ballers. The versatile 6-6 wing had his full repertoire on display at the Sweet 16. He had multiple games with 20 points or more. He is effective in the mismatch forward position. He is quick enough to go around a bigger defender and he can overpower a smaller wing. Djobet’s future looks bright.

Paul simply dominated the event alongside his teammates with the Showtime Ballers. This team was one of the most exciting teams to watch throughout the event and Paul was a clear standout. Paul was offered by a D1 school after one of his games and I am confident he will continue to receive interest into the summer. Paul is very athletic, solid finisher and doesn’t seem to ever get tired. Really impressed by his overall game and the energy he brings to the floor.

 

Paul Djobet is a long and athletic wing that excels in transition and is a good slasher that can also knock down the open three when his feet are set.
