OTR Hoops: Iverson Classic- Live Recaps- January 27, 2024

1:30 p.m.- Windermere 75, Berkeley Prep 50

The Windermere Wolverines picked up their 15th win of the season in dominating fashion 75-50 over Berkeley Prep who dropped their second consecutive game in the event. Windermere was led by 6-8 junior power forward TJ Drain finishing with a game-high 25 points. 5-9 senior point guard Ta’Veon Jones added 17 points of his own in the win for the Wolverines. Berkeley Prep was led by 6-5 junior small forward Matthew Able finishing with a team-high 16 points.

3:00 p.m.- West Oaks Academy 65, Bell Creek Academy 52

The West Oaks Academy Flame took home the win, as they led wire-to-wire on Saturday afternoon. West Oaks were led by 6-7 junior forward Jalen “Roc” Lee who finished with a game-high 26 points and eight rebounds. 6-2 sophomore guard Jayden Joseph and 6-8 senior power forward Ibrahima Traore each finished with 10 points in the win for the Flame. Bell Creek Academy was led by 6-5 junior shooting guard Caleb Sanders finishing with a team-high 16 points in the loss for the Panthers.

4:30 p.m.- Mater Lakes Academy 58, Orlando Christian Prep 52

In the third game of the day, The Mater Lakes Academy Bears went toe-to-toe with Orlando Christian Prep who came into play today ranked No. 3 in Class 2A, according to MaxPreps. The Bears were led by 5-10 freshman guard Khanye Moss who knocked down some key shots down the stretch leading all scorers with 25 points. 6-5 senior forward and Southern Miss commit Christian Reid added 15 points in the win for the Bears. In the loss, 6-0 senior guard and Florida Southern signee Ameer Ramadan finished with a team-high 20 points for Orlando Christian Prep.
