#OTRHoopsReport: Top 5 players from the Elite 32 Session I

With one of summers hottest tournaments underway, OTRHoops takes a look at some 2015 prospects to keep an eye on:

SF Jaylen Brown, Marietta (GA) – Game Elite

Brown is a 6-foot-6, 185 pound wing who can handle the ball and knows how to produce on offense. High school teammates with another top prospect in Daniel Giddens, Brown can use his physicality and athleticism to punish and take over the game, but doesn’t hesitate to find his open teammates if the defense zeros in on him.

PG Perry Dozier, Columbia (SC) – Upward Stars

Perry “PJ” Dozier, the complete point guard with great size, court vision, and basketball IQ, continues to impress coaches with his versatility. He can finish above the rim and possesses a silky smooth mid range pull-up. With a father and uncle who were Baltimore-area hoops legends, we could witness the rise of another family star at Elite 32.

PF/C Daniel Giddens, Marietta (GA) – Game Elite

Giddens, the center for the Atlanta-based Game Elite, eats up space and can alter opponents’ shots with his 6-foot-9 frame. The extremely athletic, fluent big man is starting to develop a nice array of post moves for a prospect his age. Look for him to prove why he’s one of the top players in the 2015 class.

SF Dwayne Bacon, Lakeland (FL) – Showtime Ballers

Bacon, another versatile player, is a 6-foot-6 combo guard whose strength is finishing around the rim. The young man, who continues to improve his rebounding and defensive capabilities, forms a nice duo with his longtime teammate and best friend, point guard Corey Sanders. With a lot of potential, expect for Bacon to continue to make a name for himself.

SF K.J. Lawson, Memphis (TN) – Team Penny

K.J. Lawson has a scorer’s mentality. He can score with floaters, hook shots, off the dribble, or in the post. It’s no surprise Lawson helped his Memphis East high school team win the 2012 Tennessee State championship as a freshman. Look for the youngster to bring his full arsenal to next weeks event.
