KENNESAW, Georgia – Sunday brought some of the best that the OTR Circuit had to offer at the Kennesaw Rec facility. More than 20 colleges and universities had coaches in attendance throughout the day. Here are the players who created the buzz during the day.

Whitfield Bynoe – Sunshine Elite – 2027

Sunshine Elite continued to rip through opponents this weekend. After losing a single game in the tournaments in Florida this spring, they delivered a 4-0 record last weekend. Bynoe drives the car for this team. He is an expert ball handler with the ability to burst to the rim with a quick first step. He is equally effective with his jump shots. Despite only measuring at 5-foot-10, he elevates on his jumper more quickly than any player we have evaluated in some time. Bynoe’s impact goes beyond the skills. His instincts and leadership qualities are what set him apart. He is a winner who college coaches should not underestimate.

Bryce Hoffert – Sunshine Elite – 2027

Hoffert was named the OTR Circuit player of the year in the 16U division last year. And as good as he was in 2025, his game seems to have taken a step forward. He is a 6-foot-6 wing who can impact the game with shooting, rebounding, and passing. His stats reflected all of that last weekend. His game could immediately translate to the collegiate level as a shooting specialist in the right system. However, long term, Hoffert should be viewed as a complete prospect. He has size and skill and possesses the on-court IQ to make winning plays. Behind Hoffert and Bynoe, Sunshine Elite will enter July as one of the favorites to take home the OTR Circuit championship.

Tim Johnson – Sewer South – 2027

If there was an early list for the OTR Circuit All-Defensive Team, Johnson would head that list. The 6-foot-10 center might lead the circuit in block shots. And he alters even more shots when he does not block them. He possesses a rare blend of length, agility, and timing. These are qualities that all college coaches desire. On the offensive end, he is far from a project. We watched him connect on a jump hook in the lane with perfect footwork on Sunday. We predict that he will get some big looks this July as the supply of quality big men is always scarce.

Lorenzo McCorvey – Team Person – 2027

McCorvey could be the most intriguing prospect that we evaluated last weekend. He is a 6-foot-6 guard that ran the point for Team Person. He presents a problem for opposing defenses that try to match up bigger defenders on him, because he is quick and has the body control to score in the lane. Coaches saw him throw down several two-handed dunks off the move while weaving through traffic as a play creator. We will keep tabs on McCorvey as he competes with Team Person this summer.

Gavin Reed – Team Gold Coast – 2027

Reed continues his impressive play on the OTR Circuit. His nonstop energy lifts the teammates around him. He is capable of highlight-reel-worthy shot-making. His lightning-quick crossovers consistently leave defenders leaning the wrong way. Yet do not ignore his all-around production. He scraps for rebounds, dishes timely assists, and stirs it up defensively. He earned Player of the Month honors in April. He will be one of the more closely tracked prospects during July.

Kevin Rogers Jr. – Atlanta Kings – 2027

Rogers Jr. is carving out his reputation as one of the premier scorers on the OTR Circuit. His game is more than scoring. He sets the tone for his team with defense. Rogers Jr. plays with an edge. He swipes steals in the backcourt, and he wrestles rebounds in traffic. There is a lot to write about the Cedar Grove product, but most of all he is a competitor. The Atlanta Kings are a tough out and should not be overlooked when the July brackets are released.

Donovan Swain – Team Gold Coast – 2027

Swain has been one of, if not the most talked-about prospects on the OTR Circuit this season. He earned Player of the Month recognition in March. He has not slowed down since. On Sunday morning he scored 22 points and drained the game-winning bucket in a win over Team Person. This was a marquee matchup in which every player on the court was a college prospect. Swain separates himself as an elite shooter. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard is one of the best we’ve seen at creating space beyond the arc. He is just as dangerous when slashing into the lane to score.

Carmello Williams – Georgia Canes – 2027

Williams delivered a big performance Sunday afternoon by scoring 20 points in a win over Gold Elite. The 6-foot-2 guard earned recognition early this season for his athleticism and all-around activity. However, he keeps proving that his game has polish. He can finish at the rim as well as any guard on the OTR Circuit. And he is showing a jump shot that needs to be respected. Arguably the biggest part of his game is his ability to draw fouls and convert at the foul line. Track Williams this June with Buford High School.

Notables

Jayden Gunby of the Charlotte Aces drew a lot of attention from coaches on the baseline. The 6-foot-7 forward has size, strength, and some versatility. We expect that he will field several calls following the weekend.

Class of 2027 forward Jackson Ushery of Team EYA is an emerging name from this event. His size and shooting range make him a viable college prospect moving forward.

PSB Tampa had several prospects step up during the weekend. Reid Boland is a name that we have seen pop up on the timeline throughout the spring. On Sunday, we came away impressed by Jonah Daniel. His confidence and shooting range make him an ideal teammate on this squad.

Class of 2027 guard Chase Mohn of Triangle Offense Elite continues his impressive play this spring. His shooting range and ball handling always give opponents fits.

Sunshine Elite has a deep roster from top to bottom. Cory McPherson plays his role for this squad, picking his spots. On Sunday, his defense and transition dunks helped turn the momentum in his team’s favor in a come-from-behind victory.

Sewer South Preston Liston had a big afternoon and opened some eyes on the baseline. The 6-foot-5 wing hit jumpers and was active in the lane with timely rebounds. Track him in June with Lassiter High School.

Class of 2027 guard Jayce Touchstone is a trending name with 100 Kings this season. He is a 6-foot-6 prospect with exceptional size for the backcourt. He is proving himself as a scorer and a rebounder with his team.
