We have been following the inaugural On the Radar Hoops circuit champions, Sunshine Elite, throughout the spring, and as we gear up for the Live Period, we are spotlighting six players college coaches are going to want to know:

LJ Bacon - 2028
The 6-foot-2 sophomore guard brings a combination skillset of size, strength, and speed when it comes to the open floor. He can also get to the front of the rim at will with his athleticism, where he is unafraid to finish with either hand while absorbing contact. On the defensive end, he has toughness and grit to his game, where he plays with a load of physicality and is unafraid when it comes to challenging shots at the front of the rim. He’s a true rising junior prospect who has a ton of upside as far as a start in his recruitment.

Whitfield Bynoe - 2027
Bynoe finds multiple ways to contribute on the offensive end, whether it’s his relentless knack for attacking the basket, stopping on a dime where he can shoot from the perimeter at a high rate, or his consistent movement without the basketball in his hands on the offensive end. He stays active on the defensive end as well, where he consistently applies heavy pressure on opposing guards, typically in the half-court, but adds quickness to jump into the passing lanes as well. He is a steady competitor in the paint as well where he utilizes his athleticism to be a factor on the glass and pushing the tempo in transition scoring opportunities.

Bryce Hoffert - 2027
Hoffert is a stretch wing who is unafraid when it comes to finishing at the point of attack at the rim and can step back to knock down three-pointers off the catch and bounce. He also adds great length and knows how to make great reads when he has the basketball in his hands. On the defensive end, his length allows him to be versatile, where he can guard opposing ball-handlers as well as display athleticism to cover the passing gaps and can get timely rebounds when needed, limiting the opposition from getting second-chance scoring opportunities.

Cory McPherson - 2027
The 5-foot-11 junior is a fearless guard who plays with a knack of unselfishness and can score on all three levels at the offensive end. He creates paint touches where he can finish at the rim, set his teammates up for quality looks to score, and is a pest on the defensive end. He keeps pressure on opposing guards with his burst of speed and athleticism when it comes to jumping the passing gaps. McPherson also plays with a ton of length when it comes to being a disruptor in the passing lanes and creates extra possessions for his teammates in transition opportunities. Overall, his size could spark an immediate impact on both ends of the floor as college coaches could use him as an energy guy.
Zihong Fan - 2027
The 6-foot-7 junior power forward can make an immediate impact, whether it’s his ability to finish around the rim or getting to his spots in the mid-range on the offensive end. He utilizes his size to his advantage when it comes to timely rebounds, altering shots at the rim, or getting deflections in the passing lanes. He also does a great job with his elite footwork when it comes to stopping transition with his ability to stay in front of opposing guards. Overall, Fan’s presence, whether it’s in the paint or the perimeter, can be a huge focal point as the spring and summer continue to roll on. Expect a huge leap in Fan’s overall game heading into his senior season, where he could start to draw interest from college coaches.
Jeremiah Williams - 2027
The 6-foot-7 junior power forward is an excellent rim runner when it comes to transition offense, as well as staying active in the paint. Williams finishes effectively around the rim while being unafraid when it comes to finishing through contact. He also does a great job when it comes to timing and making strong cuts towards the basket when he doesn’t have the basketball in his hands. On the defensive end, his length and strength continue to be huge factors when he contests shots around the rim and rebounds. He has also asserted himself into becoming a versatile defender where he can guard multiple positions and remain disciplined when closing out on perimeter shooters.
