JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The 2026 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) boys’ and girls’ basketball state championships resumed this week, with the larger classifications taking the floor. Here is who stood out on Day 4:

Ethan Bevis - The Villages Charter - 2026

Bevis continues to be a dynamic threat on the offensive end, whether it was finishing at the rim or knocking down shots from the perimeter. He was also a pest on the glass down the stretch, including in the final seconds, where he hit the game-winning shot to lift his team to the Class 3A Championship Game. He also displayed a strong IQ with his off-the-ball movement, as well as reading defenses with his well-timed cutting and his unselfishness. Defensively, his length continued to make havoc, where he often at times guarded multiple positions and kept the opposition at bay. The Air Force signee continues to make a strong impact on both ends of the floor, where he is capable of making an immediate impact when he gets to the next level.

Aiden Bolden - Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale) - 2027

Bolden continues to make a significant impact for Calvary Christian Academy. On offense, he used his unique blend of strength and athleticism when it came to finishing around the rim as well as pulling up in the mid-range. He continued to thrive when it came to attacking downhill and was unafraid when finishing through contact. On the defensive end, he used his length and energy when it came to pressuring on-the-ball as well as being disruptive in the passing lanes. He was also aggressive when it came to pursuing the glass, where he limited the opposition into second chance scoring opportunities. As Bolden continues to thrive as a two-way playmaker, he could be a dangerous factor not only for the remainder of this season but heading into his senior season next year.

Aaron Britt Jr - The Villages Charter - 2027

Despite getting into foul trouble early in the second half, the 6-foot-2 junior point guard showed he was crafty when it came to getting to his spots on the offensive end. He showed creativity as well as getting to the mid-range, knocking down tough shots over multiple defenders on the offensive end. On defense, he showed toughness when guarding primarily on the ball, where he made havoc for the opposition to get any offensive flow going. He continues to show why he is highly regarded as one of the top two-way point guards in the 2027 class.

Cayden Daughtry - Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale) - 2027

Daughtry displayed his full arsenal skillset, whether it was his scoring on all three levels, playmaking to open teammates, or the ability to set the tone on the defensive end. His smoothness on the offensive end when he had the basketball in his hands was impeccable, where he finished with a game-high 33 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the field, and got to the free-throw line on numerous occasions, knocking down 15-of-17 from the charity stripe. On the defensive end, Daughtry played with complete poise and purpose, where he recorded five steals in the win over University School. His ability to disrupt the passing lanes and create transition scoring opportunities helped carry his team to the Class 3A championship game, where he has the chance to lead the Eagles to their fourth state title in school history.

Javion Davis - Andrew Jackson - 2026

The 6-foot-1 senior shooting guard used his frame and physicality to his advantage when it came to attacking downhill, finishing around the rim in the semifinal game against The Villages Charter. Davis was also a huge factor on the glass, where he utilized his athleticism, limiting the opposition from getting second-chance scoring opportunities. He was also very active when it came to pursuing the passing lanes, where he picked up three steals. Davis’s two-way playmaking could open up some eyes for college coaches to show interest in him as he remains unsigned at this point in the season.

Ahmed Mustapha - University School (Fort Lauderdale) - 2027

Mustapha used his length and frame to his advantage, where he played with his back to the basket and displayed a soft touch finishing at the front of the rim. His activity in the paint continued to be effective when scoring off the bounce, as well as the catch, where he finished with a near double-double (16 points and 8 rebounds) in the loss. Overall, his toughness was a focal point against a team with a ton of physicality in Calvary Christian Academy. As his junior season came to an end on the high school grounds, I can fully expect Mustapha to have a strong season on the Grassroots circuit, where college coaches could start to show interest in the 6-foot-8 power forward.

Sean Jones - University School (Fort Lauderdale) - 2026

Jones displayed good athleticism when it came to attacking the paint and finishing around the rim on the offensive end in the Class 3A semifinal contest against Calvary Christian Academy. His IQ and court vision are among the elite in the class, as he continued to find open teammates on the move as well as in the stationary offense. On defense, he guarded multiple positions using his length and athleticism to his advantage, where he didn’t shy away when it came to battling on the glass, as well as being efficient in the passing lanes.
