OTR Hoops: 2028 Prospects to Watch This Spring in Florida (Part 1)

The Grassroots season is approaching, and we will be breaking down some of the top players to watch in their respective classes. Here are some of the top sophomores to watch for this upcoming spring and summer.

Raiden Burke - Aquilla J. Morgan (Florida) - 2028: Burke is a confident scorer who can connect on all three levels with and without the basketball as the primary ball-handler on the offensive end. On defense, he can guard positions 1 through 3 with his effort, hustle, and length. Burke is averaging 12.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game this season.

Marcus Lalonde - Jordan Christian Prep (Florida) - 2028: Lalonde is a true three-level scorer who can score in bunches, whether it’s off the bounce or catch. His ability to shoot from deep three-point range, footwork, and soft touch around the rim make him a versatile weapon on the offensive end. He is also active on the defensive end, whether it’s his athleticism around the glass or his elite footwork in the passing lanes, forcing turnovers, and anticipation to get deflections. Lalonde is turning heads as a prospect who could get some early attention from college coaches this upcoming spring.

Bryce Myers - Victory Christian Academy (Florida) - 2028: Myers can set the tone early for his teammates, where on the offensive end, he can finish in the mid-range as well as on the attack at the front of the rim. On the defensive end, he plays with a ton of length and energy, where he alters shots around the rim, as well as displaying elite footwork to get out on shooters from the perimeter. His two-way arsenal could play a huge factor over the next two years.

Chaz Nunnally - Olympia (Florida) - 2028: The 6-foot-4 combo guard is creative on the offensive end, whether he is finishing around the rim or can make defenders pay when it comes to scoring from the perimeter. Nunnally is very patient when it comes to the offensive end, where he has a smooth mid-range game off the bounce as well as finding the gaps where he can dish off to teammates, as he is an unselfish guard. His combination skillset of unselfishness and playmaking on both ends of the floor could open eyes for an early start in his recruitment.

Arhan Ramachandran - North Tampa Christian Academy - 2028: Ramachandran is very effective on all three levels on the offensive end, where he can create his own shot off the bounce and catch. He moves exceptionally well for his size, where he can play inside as well as outside off the ball. On the defensive end, he is versatile, where he battles on the glass as well as showing elite footwork out on the perimeter. His mature two-way playmaking skills could set Ramachandran as one of the top wings in the state for his class.

Cole Vetor - Community School of Naples (Florida) - 2028: Vetor has a lightning-quick release on his jump shot where he plays with a ton of confidence in the open court on the offensive end. He is quick when he has the basketball in his hands, where he makes accurate passes on the move, as well as being super unselfish from the lead guard

position. On the defensive end, Vetor plays with a high motor and contagious energy that feeds off his teammates. With more confidence in his game, Vetor could open a ton of eyes as he could rise in the 2028 rankings in the state.
