Frank Spencer Holiday Classic: Day 2 Standouts
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Day 2 of the Frank Spencer Holiday Classic brought out a wave of new faces and players who took advantage of the stage to make a name for themselves, with many competitors in the field showing the ability to play at the Division II and Division III levels. Many regional programs in the southeast should take notice. The following standouts distinguished themselves through production, energy, and influence on both ends of the floor.
Logan Warren - Reagan High School - 2029
Warren showed impressive composure and confidence for a freshman, impacting the game well beyond his years. He played with poise, made strong decisions with the ball, and competed on both ends. His ability to stay composed in high-level competition continues to point toward a strong long-term trajectory.
AJ Wesley - East Forsyth - 2027
Wesley brought a gritty, high motor presence on Day 2, consistently turning defense into offense. His pesky on-ball pressure disrupted opposing guards, while his speed allowed him to create advantages in transition. He continued to display confidence as a perimeter shooter throughout all 4 quarters. His energy level and defensive activity consistently shifted momentum in East Forsyth’s favor leading them to win against Reagan at their home in a tough crowd.
Camren Jordan - West Forsyth - 2027
Jordan was the offensive spark for West Forsyth, especially from beyond the arc. He knocked down five three-pointers against a tough South Stokes team, stretching the floor and forcing defensive adjustments. His quick release and creativity off the bounce made him difficult to stay attached to. When he finds rhythm early, his shot-making ability can completely change the flow of a game.
Ethan Driver - Davie - 2026
Driver delivered a strong Day 2 performance by attacking the basket with purpose and physicality. He finished through contact and found his rhythm from beyond the perimeter as the game progressed. His downhill pressure consistently collapsed the defense. A committed football player to Gardner-Webb University, his toughness and competitiveness clearly translate to the hardwood.
Aidan O’Gara - Mount Tabor - 2026
O’Gara’s presence was most certainly missed in day one, however his performance in day two made up for it. O’Gara blended old-school fundamentals with modern shot-making and playmaking in his game against Walkertown. He played under control, attacked downhill effectively, and made smart reads as a playmaker. His vision was on full display making touchdown passes seem like it was nothing. His physicality also allowed him to create without forcing action. His ability to balance patience and aggression made him a steady offensive presence.
Kingston Carmichael - Reynolds - 2027
Carmichael continued to find multiple ways to score, thriving both on and off the ball. He shot the ball with confidence as a spot-up threat and consistently cut to open space, showing a strong understanding of spacing. Once defenses caught on he used that opportunity to attack closeouts and touch the paint. He also flashed sneaky athleticism, not afraid to use it in transition to apply pressure and finish plays.
Noni Jones - East Forsyth - 2026
Jones consistently impacted the game with his size, length, and activity level. He ran the floor hard, finished plays around the rim, and competed on the glass while using his wingspan to alter shots defensively. His ability to play well above the rim stood out, as he was a constant transition threat and an effective lob target in half-court situations. His athleticism and willingness to embrace physical play allowed him to influence possessions on both ends of the floor.
