OTR Hoops: 52nd Annual City of Palms Classic- Day 3 Standouts

FORT MYERS, Fla.- The 52nd Annual City of Palms resumed on Saturday and runs through December 23rd at the Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers. Here is who stood out on Day 3:

Kayden Allen, Long Island Lutheran (New York) (2026)

Allen brought his scoring prowess into the 2nd round of the tournament, where he finished with an efficient 22 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field and 2-of-6 from behind the three-point line. Allen’s playmaking in the second half was the difference maker, where he dished out four assists, as well as having the ability to play at his own pace, where he didn’t get fazed when he had to speed up or slow down during the game.

Caleb Gaskins, Columbus (Florida) (2026)

Gaskins continues to bring a blend of skillset, size, strength, and athleticism on the offensive end, where he beats you in a variety of ways, whether it is off the bounce or catch. Gaskins’ length on both ends of the floor is what separated him in this game, where he was active on the glass on both ends of the floor, as well as his ability to jump the passing lanes. Defensively, he played a versatile role where he was often at times guarding out on the perimeter as well as showing his interior game where he was altering shots at the rim.

Quentin Coleman, Principia (Missouri) (2026)

Coleman continues to have an impressive weekend at the City of Palms Classic, where he has shown he can score in a variety of ways, whether it’s as the primary ball-handler or the ability to get to his spots when playing off the ball. He has shown his tight handle as well as his elite decision-making with his court vision, as well as his accurate passing ability to teammates. On the defensive end, he was active out on the perimeter as well as staying competitive in the passing gaps, where he used his length to disrupt offensive flow.

Clarence Westbrook, St. Thomas Aquinas (Florida) (2027)

The 6-foot-1 point guard had a strong performance in the second half in the win over Victory Christian Academy, where he played with a ton of creativity and shiftiness when having the basketball in his hands. On offense, he got downhill and finished through traffic on numerous occasions, as well as getting into the second-tier defense while stopping on a dime and getting tough shots to go down off the bounce. On defense, he was playing with active hands and was very quick to get into the passing lanes, forcing deflections as well as applying heavy pressure on the opposing guards.

Christian Collins, St. John Bosco (California) (2026)

Collins re-opened his recruitment on Friday night after narrowing down his top schools down to three where he was slated to choose between Kentucky, USC, and UCLA, he came into his own on the offensive end where he was bruising opposing players down on the blocks as well as expanding his range where he can make defenders pay with the ability to stretch the floor and knock down shots from behind the arc. On the defensive end, Collins played a versatile role where he was guarding inside as well as outside, with his length and athleticism separating him from the rest of the wings in his class.

Abdou Toure, Notre Dame (Connecticut) (2026)

The 6-foot-6 senior guard and Arkansas signee has improved as a scorer drastically since the summer, when he became more comfortable playing inside as well as outside on the offensive end. He was also very impactful on the glass on both ends of the floor, as well as making his presence felt when it came to altering and blocking shots at the front of the rim. He was efficient from the field, where he scored a game-high 41 points on 16-of-20 shooting from the field and added four rebounds to go along with four steals in the win over Olympia.

Dylan Jones, Bartlett (Tennessee) (2027)

The 6-foot-7 wing, despite having an off night offensively, was making an impact facilitating for his teammates as well as attacking downhill, absorbing contact, and getting to the free-throw line. Jones finished with 16 points despite his 5-of-16 shooting from the field, but went 6-of-8 from the free-throw line. On defense, Jones was active on the glass, where he used his length and athleticism to his advantage, finishing with four rebounds and getting into the passing lanes, picking up three steals in the win over Petersburg.
