ORLANDO, Fla.- The 13th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Classic is a can-not-miss event in the state of Florida. There were five elite matchups that took place at Oak Ridge High School on Saturday, including several top-ranked contests throughout the day. Here are some of the top players from the event.
2028 6-5 SG Nijaun Harris, St. Petersburg
The 6-foot-5 sophomore shooting guard had a big second half of Saturday’s game against Evans, where he finished with a game-high 25 points. Harris got to his spots, whether it was playing off the ball or as the primary ball-handler, displaying his ability to score on all three levels, rebounding, as well as causing havoc on the defensive end kept his team in the game. Harris will continue to be a name to watch as he continues to improve his overall game, where he has scored in double figures in all seven games this season.
2029 6-1 PG Zaire Colbert, The Rock School
The 6-foot-1 freshman point guard is going to be a name worth knowing over the course of the next four years, where he has a mature game beyond his years, and he never got rattled or phased when being blitzed in the backcourt. He has a smooth handle and made the winning plays even when he wasn’t scoring with his ability to create for his teammates. On the defensive end, he was a factor in the passing lanes by using his athleticism to get deflections and steals, which helped spark a second-half comeback for his team. He finished with 13 points, five rebounds, six assists, and three steals in the win over Lake Highland Prep.
2026 6-5 CG Joseph Hartman, The Rock School
The 6-foot-5 senior guard and Michigan commit exploded for a game-high 30 points in the win over Lake Highland Prep. His strength, athleticism, and will to score on all three levels took notice in the second half when he carried his team on his back, knocking down five 3-pointers. He also played with a ton of confidence when it came to finishing at the rim at the point of attack. Hartman also finished with eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals in the win, where he has become one of the top two-way players in the state this season.
2027 6-7 SF Carson Crawford, Fleming Island
The 6-foot-7 junior wing continues to rise in the national rankings, where he used his strength to get downhill as well as being able to stop on a dime, and he knocked down several key mid-range jumpers to keep his team within striking distance. Crawford added some muscle during the off-season, where he was also able to be a key contributor on the defensive end, altering shots at the rim as well as being a strong rebounder to push the tempo. Crawford will be a name to keep an eye on as his recruitment got started last summer, when he picked up offers from Cincinnati and Jacksonville, where that list will continue to grow as this season rolls on.
2026 6-7 SF Herly Brutus, The Villages Charter
The 6-foot-7 senior wing and LSU signee played a huge role in the final minute of Saturday’s win over Fleming Island, where he scored the last five points, including the game-winner. He played with his strong and athletic frame on both ends of the floor, whether it was his ability to get downhill on the offensive end or his rebounding on the defensive end. Brutus finished with a double-double at 14 points and 12 rebounds. He also used his length to alter shots at the rim, coming away with a game-high four blocks.
2027 6-2 PG Aaron Britt Jr, The Villages Charter
The 6-foot-2 junior point guard was in full attack mode in Saturday’s win over Fleming Island, where his shooting percentages won’t indicate his overall performance, but he was crafty and got downhill, where he did a great job at absorbing contact and getting to the free-throw line. He showed great leadership on the defensive end with his vocality and ability to get into the gaps, cutting off passes as well as showcasing a ton of activity getting steals, which led to scores on the offensive end for his teammates. He could be in line for a strong season, putting up efficient numbers on both ends of the court. He finished with 14 points, three assists, and two steals in the win.
