PLAYERS FEATURED
THE VILLAGES, Fla. — The Florida Crown is an inaugural three-part event as part of the On The Radar Hoops season. Here is who stood out on Saturday:
Raul Bongo - OBG Elite 15U - 2029
Bongo is a long and multi-versatile big man who ran the floor exceptionally well in transition, as well as getting easy looks at the rim on the offensive end. He is a bucket-getter, whether it was finishing off two feet or getting put-backs off missed shots. On the defensive end, his multi-arsenal skillset showed havoc for opposing guards, where he altered shots around the rim and showed elite footwork when it came to defending out on the perimeter.
Kaiden Seebarath - Elite Eight Select Black 17U - 2027
Seebarath is an athletic wing with a smooth handle, able to operate effectively in transition and in half-court offensive sets. He was most confident when attacking the front of the rim, demonstrating his ability to finish through contact. Defensively, he displayed versatility, often guarding multiple positions. Expect the 6-foot-4 junior wing to continue to blossom in his overall game, as I can see full potential in Seebarath as the spring season rolls on.
Joseph Greene - G-Force Ryders 16U - 2028
Greene is a long and twitchy combo forward who can defend in the paint as well as out on the perimeter. With his size and length, he made it difficult for opposing guards to get off a great shot. His IQ is developing right before our eyes, as he does a great job on challenging shots around the rim without fouling, and he is unafraid to finish through contact on the offensive end.
Jeremiah Owes - Rise & Grind 16U - 2028
Owes was unconscious when it came to letting his shooting display take effect. In a win over Holiday Hoops Gold, the 5-foot-10 sophomore guard finished with 40 points on 9 made three-pointers. His energy on the defensive end also stood out, as his athleticism allowed him to anticipate passing lanes and rebound well from the guard position. Major upside looming for Owes as the spring season rolls on.
Zechariah Thermitus - Palm Beach Aces 17U - 2027
The 6-foot-1 junior wing was at his best when it came to using his strength off the bounce, where he muscled his way to finish at the rim through contact. On defense, he was able to anticipate the passing lanes as well as apply heavy pressure when guarding the ball. His high IQ, as well as his elite decision-making, continues to be a huge part of his game offensively, where he also made unselfish plays to get his teammates involved.
Troy Reddin - Flagler United 15U - 2029
The 5-foot-9 freshman guard was in full attack mode from the opening jump on Saturday, where he was able to get to the basket off the bounce as well as the catch. He was also able to connect from behind the arc and get to his spots, where he was efficient in the mid-range as well. He adds a mature skillset on the defensive end that goes beyond his years, where he made a huge presence when guarding in the passing lanes as well as getting deflections with his length.
Demetrius Ferretti - Flagler United 16U - 2028
Ferretti made his presence felt and impacted the game in multiple ways in a tough loss over Strikers 16U. He was effective when it came to knocking down shots off the catch as well as the bounce on all three scoring levels. On the defensive end, he showed his elite footwork and stayed on his feet, where he altered shots around the rim without fouling. His two-way playmaking could open some eyes for the 6-foot sophomore as the spring season rolls on.
Adkins Bazeau - Lakeland Elite - 2030
Bazeau is a long and twitchy wing where his game continues to blossom in the right direction. Offensively, he was creative off the bounce around the rim, where he used his length to his advantage. On the defensive end, he guarded positions 1 through 4 at a high level. His overall confidence will continue to grow as he gets older and more mature with his game.
Jakobe Harris - Lakeland Elite - 2031
Harris is a big wing who has added a solid frame to his game, where he contributed around the rim on the offensive end. His passing instincts on the move were fun to watch in the win over Team EURO. His playmaking, scoring, and consistently getting his teammates involved say a lot about the growth in his game. In addition, his defensive mechanics and versatility, where he guarded multiple positions, continue to stand out as well.
