ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Memorial Day Classic presents over 150 teams across six age groups, with teams representing Florida and Georgia taking over Central Florida over the course of three days. Here are nine prospects who stood out on Sunday:

Melvin Mango - Next Step Elite - 2026
The 6-foot-6 unsigned senior led a balanced scoring attack to help preserve his team in a wire-to-wire win over Georgia Ignites. His ability to contribute inside as well as outside helped him finish with a game-high 16 points and knock down a couple of clutch 3-pointers to pull away in the morning game. On defense, his length also proved to be a difference maker, as he limited second-chance scoring opportunities as well as pressuring the passing gaps.

Jeremy Dent - Elite Playmakers Smith OTR - 2027
The 6-foot-1 junior guard showed tremendous speed and did a great job when finishing at the front of the rim while absorbing contact. On offense, he scored on all three levels, whether as the primary ball-handler or off the ball, getting to his spots. On defense, he showed his true length and athleticism, playing the passing lanes and adding solid rim protection.

Jason Smith - Elite Playmakers Smith OTR - 2027
The 6-foot junior guard put together a good overall performance, where he did a great job when he was finishing above the rim on the offensive end as well as distributing to his teammates on the move. He also consistently applied pressure on the defense, where he was able to expand his range into the mid-range and out on the perimeter. Overall, his downhill aggression and ability to protect the rim on the defensive end set the tone in the early morning win.

Jaylin Brown - TWU Elite OTR - 2027
The 6-foot-5 junior guard is a long and mobile athlete who ran the floor exceptionally well in transition, as well as in the half-court on the offensive end. He finished above the rim, whether it was off put-backs or on the catch. On defense, he was active as a rim protector and played sound defense out on the perimeter as well as in the passing lanes. His ability to create turnovers through pressure and anticipation created momentum swings for his team.

Troy Phillip - Harris Athletics OTR - 2030
The 6-foot-8 was a proven difference maker in the afternoon game against OBG Elite, where he put on an elite shooting display in the wire- to-wire win. He finished with a game-high 18 points to go along with 8-of-12 shooting from the field. Phillip was confident in his mid-range game as well on the offensive end. On defense, he showed his true versatility, where he guarded multiple positions with length and purpose. Overall, Phillip is one of the top prospects to watch as he enters his freshman season.

Alex Stewart - Harris Athletics OTR - 2028
The 6-foot rising junior guard did a great job, as he got to his spots on the offensive end. He led a balanced scoring attack with 15 points and knocked down three 3-pointers in the second half in a wire-to-wire win over OBG Elite. On the defensive end, he added toughness and physicality by staying active on the ball, bringing steady energy by generating steals, and turning transition scoring opportunities into easy looks at the rim. Overall, Stewart’s two-way playmaking set the tone for a productive weekend with a balanced scoring attack, along with his disruptive defense.

Johnny Lackaff - Austin Rivers SE Elite 3SSB - 2027
The 6-foot-5 junior shooting guard displayed his all-around game at the Florida Memorial Day Classic with his high-IQ, scoring versatility, and relentless energy on both ends of the floor. On the offensive end, he displayed a smooth jump shot off the catch as well as the bounce. He was consistently stretching the defense, where he was expanding his range to well behind the three-point line. His movement off the ball was a key factor in his team’s success, where he finished with a game-high 23 points on four 3-pointers in a win over Sunshine Elite. On the defensive end, he was just as effective, as he stayed in front of his man, as well as being active in the passing lanes.

Kellson “KJ” Sandi - Austin Rivers SE Elite 3SSB - 2027
The 6-foot-2 junior point guard is a true floor general who made an immediate impact from the opening jump in a win over Sunshine Elite. Sandi brought this confident scoring ability as well as his versatile playmaking on the offensive end. On defense, he showed his true toughness and athleticism, generating steals, leading to transition scoring opportunities on the offensive end. Overall, his two-way playmaking abilities were a huge focal point throughout the day. Expect Sandi to have a major recruitment period heading into the summer ahead of his senior season.

Kareem Willmore - OBG Elite - 2027
Willmore is a pass-first guard with strong instincts with his off-ball movement, where he can run the offense without having to be a primary scorer to make an impact. Offensively, he made smart decisions to set his teammates up where he was finding open shooters on the perimeter with his ability to attack downhill. His energy and production on the defensive end by forcing turnovers, reading the passing lanes, and timely rebounding set the tone in a win over Harris Athletics. Overall, his feel and great understanding of the game will open some eyes for coaches as he is on the verge of having a breakout summer season heading into his senior year.
