The Memorial Day Classic was filled with basketball players who could take over games with the physical measurements and athleticism. The all explosive team highlights 10 prospects who change the game the minute they touched the floor.

Exauce Muamba | Florida Sons | 2028
At 6’8 Muamba is the type of ball player who causes mismatches up and down lineups. He has the slashing abilities of a wing with the body of a developing power forward. A freight train in transition that can play above the rim. Can be a lob threat in the half court. Has good timing as a weak shot blocker. He’s physically strong enough to finish through contact and plays with a high motor.

Zion Thomas | Gold Elite | 2027
Thomas is a powerful athlete who can play on or off the ball. At 6’4 he has the strength and explosiveness to make plays above the rim in transition and in the half court. He has the next level speed to beat defenders off the dribble and be a real threat on the break. Good cutter and lob threat in the half court. Can hit shots off the dribble and creates space with his physical frame.

Jemal Brown | 478 Elite OTR | 2029
A 6’3 guard who can get downhill at will thanks to a blazing first step out of the triple threat. He’s really good at setting up defenders with jab steps and full speed crossovers once he gets downhill. He’s a very coordinated athlete that always seems to be on balance despite making moves when he has a head of steam. Finished above the rim in transition and attacks the boards on both ends of the floor. Played a ton of minutes this weekend and never loss aggressiveness on either end of the floor.

Lewis Thompson | SE Select | 2026
Thompson is a Division I track athlete with a ton of skills that translate to the hardwood. At 6’7 he’s jumped over 7 foot in the high jump after recovering from an ACL tear. On the basketball court that translates to rim protection in transition and half court shot blocker in the half court. He’s a lob threat who can also finish shots in the paint. Has a slight frame but comfortable with physicality and plays with an edge.

Jaylin Brown | TWU | 2027
At 6’6 Brown is a prototypical guard product. He’s long athletic explosive on the drive and on the break. He’s good shooter with deep range off the dribble and a consistent jumper off movement. Brown is an above the rim athlete with the control to use create space and make moves on drives.

Delijah McAlpin | OCO NB | 2026
McAlpin is a 6’7 wing who uses his size to play an explosive versatile game. McAlpin can get to the rim from every spot on the floor and can find a launching pad off one or two feet. Very capable jump shot with range beyond the college three point line. Will post smaller players up and has several moves as a face up forward.

Jackson Swedenburg | AJ3 | 2029
Swedenburg is a 6’2 guard that launches himself to the rim. Very explosive athlete who can make defensive lays as a weak side shot blocker. Really good in the offensive glass thanks to his ability to finish putback dunks. The type of athlete you have to keep a body on he’ll make a play above the rim often. Will only get better as his feel for the game and motor improve.

Byron Lee | TEAM SMASH | 2027
Lee is a hard playing physical forward that wouldn’t be denied from getting to the rim. Between his size at 6’7, strength, and motor he’s get where he wants with a head full of steam. He’s a good vertical athlete who can finish above the rim in transition or as a CB lob threat. He’s defensively versatile with the feet to slide with perimeter players on switches and defend the rim. He’s defensively versatile, doesn't force shots and is capable of using his footwork when athleticism doesn’t finish the play.

Celestino Augusto | OBG Elite | 2027
Augusto showed off a rare blend of size, motor, length, and handles all weekend. The 6’8 forward attacked the rim every chance he gets and looked really comfortable handling the ball in the half court. He does a really good drive of drawing fouls and staying aggressive on drives. Has the ability to grab defensive rebounds and push the break. Solid offensive rebounder despite a slim frame. Doesn’t shy away from a challenge. Had the poster of the weekend in transition.

Jaryn Williams | TEAM S.M.A.S.H | 2028
Williams is a 6’5 combo guard that can use his athleticism to get downhill or sky above the rim as a lob threat. He plays hard on both ends of the floor making him a good on ball defender who can get in passing lanes. He plays with energy and awareness needed to be a successful off the ball presence. Creates transition opportunities with his defense and has the game to finish on his own or set up others.
