PLAYERS FEATURED
The second annual On the Radar x Hoop Seen 'The Main Event' was in full swing this past weekend. This tournament featured teams from 15U-17U from across the southeast. This will be a two part series.

Nivee Leach | 2028 | Promise Elite: 5’9” G Nivee Leach was on fire in the Sunday morning matchup I saw, pouring in 20 points with five made three-pointers in the win. He consistently got his shot off quickly by staying in a triple-threat position and maintaining proper spacing within the offense. Leach also showed versatility by attacking inside, converting short floaters from around five feet and finishing on a few drives to the basket. He proved to be one of the more effective guards, especially when scoring off screens.

Trae McGrew | 2028 | Promise Elite: 6’1” G Trae McGrew has gotten off to a strong start this travel season, turning in productive performances in both games I watched on Sunday. He scored 18 points in one contest and followed it up with 19 in another. McGrew showed the ability to score at multiple levels, attacking the basket when lanes opened and knocking down shots from the perimeter. He was also active on the glass and disruptive defensively, collecting rebounds and multiple steals. A versatile utility prospect who consistently fills needs across the floor.

Kingston Mudrow | 2028 | North Metro Elite: 6’ G Kingston Mudrow emerged as a prospect to watch this weekend. A shifty guard, Mudrow consistently made tough plays against defenders, showing the ability to get to the rim and finish through contact while also creating scoring opportunities in the mid-range. He plays at a fast pace and does a good job finding teammates for quick looks, both in transition and within the half-court offense.

Braylin Pettit | 2028 | NGU: 6’6” W Braylin Pettit appears to be on the cusp of a breakout spring, consistently putting his team on his back. In the game I watched, Pettit poured in 25 points and knocked down two three-pointers. He consistently made the right plays, creating scoring opportunities for himself while also setting up his teammates. A high-effort prospect, Pettit competes on every possession and routinely wins 50/50 balls.

Segond Sompa | 2027 | Tennessee Impact: 6’7” F Segond Sompa is a college-ready prospect who is poised to gain significant traction this summer. One of the top bigs I evaluated over the weekend, Sompa led his team with 17 points in the win. He was a consistent presence inside, finishing effectively around the basket and at the rim. Sompa is a strong rebounder who plays within the flow of the game and brings a high motor and energy on both ends of the floor.
