The spring travel basketball season is here, which means that college coaches are making their plans to recruit the next class of stars. The state of Georgia stays populated with talent across the Appalachian Plateau into the Piedmont and down into the Coastal Plain. The state of Georgia stays populated with talent across the Appalachian Plateau into the Piedmont and down into the Coastal Plain. Here are some names we have targeted in our notes as the next up in the state. If we missed someone, let us know!
Kie’Aundria Acree, 6-0 Wing, Monroe HS
Acree is a scoring guard/wing. This past season she became the all-time leading scorer in Dougherty County girls’ basketball history, surpassing 2,000 career points, and earned Prep GA AAA Player of the Year honors. She reported an offer from LSU early this year, which is one of close to 30 offers she is reporting at this moment.
Carly Bass, 6-0 Shooting Guard, Sequoyah HS
Bass is a scoring shooting guard. She averaged nearly 20 points per game as a junior and earned GHSA AAAAA All-State honors along with first-team All-Region recognition.

Aila Courtenay, 6-3 Forward/Center, St. Francis HS
Courtenay is a hybrid post player. Her ability to score and rebound on the interior is complemented by her ability to face up from the high post area. She was solid all year long during her junior year and earned GHSA All-State recognition.

Deyva Davis, 5-8 Point Guard, Milton HS
Davis is a scoring point guard. She served as the leading scorer on a talented Milton team that finished 27-5, went 12-0 in region play to claim the #1 seed, and advanced to the GHSA 5A state semifinals/Final Four. As a junior she earned GHSA 5A All-State First Team honors and was named 5A Region 7 Player of the Year. She also surpassed the 1,000-career point milestone.

C’India Dennis, 5-5 Point Guard, Creekside HS
Dennis is one of the most dynamic point guards in the nation. She earned Morgan & Morgan Most Valuable Player honors in the 2025 GHSA 4A state championship as Creekside won the title. She sat out most of this season with an ACL injury. She will be unavailable through this spring and summer.

E’miah Fields, 5-9 Shooting Guard/Wing, Buford HS
Fields is a productive two-way shooting guard. She scored 30 points in multiple games and earned All-State recognition along with Atlanta Tip-Off Club All-Metro honors. She was a key member of Buford’s 27-2 season.

Devin Furgess, 5-4 Point Guard, New Manchester HS
Furgess is a well-rounded point guard. She averaged 17.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 3.0 steals per game as a junior while leading New Manchester to a 24-5 overall record and a Sweet 16 appearance in the GHSA 5A playoffs. She earned GHSA 5A All-State Honorable Mention and North Georgia AAAAA All-State honors.

Lindsey Kopacek, 6-2 Center, Starr’s Mill HS
Kopacek is a strong post player specializing as a rebounder and defender. She was named GHSA 4A First Team All-State, Region 3-AAAA Player of the Year, and led the classification in rebounding and shot blocking while surpassing 1,000 career points and rebounds.

Morgan Landrum, 6-0 Wing-Forward, North Paulding HS
Landrum is a versatile wing-forward bringing size and athleticism to the court. She earned Morgan & Morgan MVP honors in the GHSA 6A state championship with 17 points and 21 rebounds in the title game as North Paulding won its first state title in the largest classification.

Nimah Ibidunni, 6-2 Forward, Alexander HS
Ibidunni is a forward with length, agility, and athleticism. She became the second all-time leading scorer at Alexander as a junior and earned GHSA All-State honors.

Giaunni Rogers, 5-9 Combo Guard, St. Francis HS
Rogers is a combo guard with shooting range. She joined the 1,000-point club and earned All-State honors this past season.

Finley Parker, 6-3 Forward, River Ridge HS
Parker is a wing/power forward. She earned Atlanta Tip-Off Club All-Metro First Team and Class AAAAA North Player of the Year honors as a junior. She announced her commitment to Indiana University this week.
Travel Team: Southeast All-Stars Adidas
Maliyah Gilbert, 5-9 Guard, Kell HS
Gilbert caught fire with the Lady Longhorns on their run to the Final Four. She was named to the GBCA/GACA All-State team. She is poised to gain a lot of attention on the spring circuit.

London Smith, 5-5 Point Guard, Newton HS
Smith is an athletic point guard. She had a strong junior season leading Newton to the GHSA State Championship game and a 23-6 record. She averaged 13 ppg and 6 r per game. She was named the All-Covington News MVP this season.

Trinitee Thomas, Guard, Warner Robins HS
Thomas is an athletic guard who specializes in slashing through the defense and finishing at the rim. She sat out this season with injury but is scheduled to return this spring.

Asiah Thompson, 5-10 Guard, Kell High School
Thompson was a key part of Kell’s run to the state championship game. Her size and skill make her one of the most recruitable prospects in the state. She notched her 1,000th point in the state championship game. She also was named to the All-State team for postseason honors.

Janiyah Weaver, 6-4 Forward, Morrow HS
Weaver is a versatile forward with length and mobility. She can be used as a versatile defender in the full court or helping control the glass in the paint. She is expected to have a breakout spring.

Mackenzee Williams, 5-8 Guard, Woodward Academy
Williams is one of the best scoring guards in Atlanta. She earned Region Player of the Year honors as well as GHSA All-State honors as the primary scoring option for Woodward Academy.

Nakhai Worthy, 6-2 Wing-Forward, Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School
Worthy is a wing-forward with size and versatility. She presents a match-up problem for defenders who are either too small or too slow to match her. She reports dozens of high major offers. Worthy sat out this season after an injury required surgery this fall. Her return to the court is still to be determined.
