Jordan Speller – Montverde Academy – 2027
Speller dominated the second half of the Eagles game versus Bartlett High School (TN) to help earn a win. She scored 19 of her game high 24 points after halftime. The 5-foot-6 lefty is electric. She slices through the defense to either finish in the kill zone or dish to open teammates when the help defense rotates. Every adjective used to describe her game is deserved. She finished as well as any guard we have seen this season in transition and often did it while drawing contact. She is a top 50 player in the country nationally and climbing.
Kristen Winston – Hoover High School – 2029
Winston delivered for the Lady Bucs in the game’s biggest moment. She drained a jumper to help swing the momentum in her team’s favor in the final period. The 5-foot-11 guard is noted for her size, athleticism, and all-around skill set. She is mentioned as one of the top prospects nationally in the freshman class. Playing meaningful games and producing as an important contributor for one of the nation’s top high school teams solidifies her recruiting profile.
Loriel Murray – Holy Innocents – 2028
First year coach Nathan Teymer has a wealth of size and talent to work with on the front line for the Lady Bears. On Saturday night it was Murray who delivered the top performance. The 6-foot-3 post scored 25 points en route to a 16-point win over New Manchester. Murray is blessed with a strong lower body that allows her to carve out space in the paint. Combine this with her nimble footwork and soft touch off the glass and she is emerging as one of Georgia’s premier interior scorers.
Nina McEldon – Bishop Ireton (VA) – 2029
One of the features of the event was the introduction of out-of-region talent. Bishop Ireton brought a squad full of promising underclassmen to the event. There were several Cardinal prospects who deserve recognition. It starts with McEldon, a 6-foot-3, face-up forward. She possesses a poise and confidence handling the ball that is rare to find in a player her size and age. Her footwork and feel for the game with her back to the basket are advanced as well. We will keep tabs on her development in upcoming years.
Zoe Williams – Marietta High School – 2029
The Lady Blue Devils earned two wins at the event. The depth of this team seems to be as much of a story as the stars that lead it. Williams is a guard who is earning playing time by fulfilling her role and producing when called upon. Although she shares ball handling duties with a few other guards on the roster, her talent and confidence are evident when she gets the opportunity. With the likes of Williams and the other underclassmen on the roster, Coach Derrick DeWitt and the Lady Blue Devils might contend for another state title in the near future.
Jaelyn Jones – Ryle High School – 2026
Ryle’s match-up versus South Forsyth High School was billed as the meeting of the two super freshmen (Jayden Mclain-Ryle, Carib Morris-South Forsyth). That billing did not disappoint. However, Jones stepped up to center stage to lead the Lady Raiders to a win. The Western Illinois signee scored a team high 24 points and held off a late comeback from South Forsyth to secure the win. Jones is an all-around guard with size (5-foot-10). She can spend time as a lead ball handler or spot up from the corner as a shooter. In this game, it was her ability to draw contact and convert free throws that is notable. She connected on eight of nine attempts, which included four in the deciding moments of the game. The Bulldogs from Western Illinois have a solid prospect arriving next fall.
