Alpharetta, Ga. – Earlier this year, Milton and Alpharetta squared off on Martin Luther King Day which ended in Milton beating Alpharetta at the buzzer to win by two points. These two were matched up again in the first round of the State Playoffs. This time, the outcome was different.

Alpharetta was powered by senior forwards Devontae Cacok and Jaylon Gamble. Cacok, a UNC-Wilmington signee, started off slow which resulted in his team struggling through the first half.  In the third quarter, Cacok controlled the paint, grabbing rebounds and finishing with rim bending dunks around the basket.  Gamble came up big for Alpharetta as he was able to be another dominate presence on the offensive glass.  Sophomores Carlos Carriere and Greg James provided additional scoring options for the Raiders. Alpharetta will face McEarchern in the next round of the State Playoffs.
