8:30pm McEachern vs. Holy Spirit

You save the best for last, right? A loaded McEachern team takes on Anthony Edwards and Holy Spirit. McEachern’s floor general, Sharife Cooper, is firmly planted among the nation’s top prospects. The class of 2020 point guard picked up an offer from coach Calipari and the University of Kentucky this fall. He is flanked by uber-athlete Isaac Okoro. The 6-5 wing is a 2019 Auburn commit.

Meanwhile Edwards of Holy Spirit is currently ranked as a consensus top five player in the class of 2020. If Edwards continues on his current trajectory, he could go down as one of Atlanta’s all-time great players.

7:00pm Wheeler vs. Meadowcreek

Wheeler keeps talent on their roster year after year. Class of 2019 point guard Roscoe Eastmon visits the University of Denver officially this week. While class of 2019 guard Charles Smith IV is already California commit. Malachi Rhodes is off the board to Bucknell.

Meadowcreek is a defending state champion in the GHSA’s largest classification. Class of 2019 wing-forward Jamir Chaplin is a key returner for the Mustangs. He is a University of South Florida commit.

5:30pm St. Francis vs. Westlake

There will be plenty of guard play to watch in this match-up. St. Francis features Xavier commit, point guard Dwon Odom. He was tabbed by OTR contributor, Kowacie Reeves, (@HypeSouthMedia) as one of the state’s top point guards this year (Read HERE).

Westlake will be powered by class of 2019 Clemson commit, Chase Hunter. The guard is super skilled with sneaky bounce. Check out his highlights from this July at the OTR Super 6 Showcase (HERE). Chase’s brother, Dillon, will join him in the back court this year. He is a class of 2022 guard that showed very well at the USA Basketball Mini-camp this fall. Read Shun Williams’ recap (HERE). Do not sleep on class of 2019 Rice commit Quincy Olivari. He is a long range sniper that plays the game with efficiency.

4:00pm The Skill Factory HS vs. Mass Military Academy

Be watchful of Christian Wright from The Skill Factory. He is a point guard with size plus skill. He appears to be a prospect on an upward trajectory.

A name from Mass Military that should be recognizable to many basketball fans in Georgia is Brandon Suggs. The 6-7 wing has picked up offers from Georgia Tech, East Carolina, Auburn and Texas A&M recently.

2:30 Heritage vs. Mt. Bethel

Heritage will be lead by class of 2019 Gardner Webb commit Lance Terry. Terry had a great showing this summer with the ATL Xpress at the OTR Super 6 Showcase. He will be flanked by class of 2020 guard Kasen Jennings and Ebenezer Dowuona who both picked up offers from Arkansas Little-Rock this fall. Also keep an eye out for Connor Thompson, a 6-3 guard. He had a great showing at the OTR Super 64 Camp (Read HERE).

Mt. Bethel is fully primed for another competitive season this year. Last year they claimed the GICAA state championship. This year they are tabbed as one of the top GHSA Class A private schools in the state. Coach Cal Boyd brings a wealth of experience to the sidelines. A few names to watch this weekend are 6-8 forward class of 2020 Jordan Meka and class of 2019 wing 6-5 Stanley Eze

1:00pm Lincoln Academy vs. Greater Gwinnett Christian

Lincoln Academy features some of the best big men in the state of Georgia. Class of 2021 posts Bretner Mutombo and Frankie Anselem both measure in at 6-foot-11 tall. Throw in Mississippi State commit Elias King, who stands 6-9 with guard skills, and Lincoln Academy has a lot of talent to handle.

11:30am Miller Grove vs. Trinity Christian

Miller Grove has a couple of sleeper prospects to watch for in this game. Zyair Greene and class of 2021 point guard Shomik Shahjahan.

Trinity Christian is another private school that has been tabbed as a top ten program in the class A GHSA private school division.

10:00am The Walker School vs. Cumberland Christian

The Walker School was tabbed as one of the ten best schools in the GHSA Class A Private school division. A few notable names on their roster are Burke Chebuhar, Chandler Baker and Sharife’s younger brother Omar Cooper who is in the class of 2021.
