Player Spotlight: Dwayne Bacon

Dwayne Bacon of Lakeland, Fla. has quickly emerged as one of the top players in the country, listed by numerous scouting services as a 4 star prospect. Bacon averaged 23 points per game in the Nike Memorial Day Classic with a game high of 28 points against the Atlanta Xpress.

Bacon can score in a variety of ways, from three-point land, finishing at the basket with either hand, posting up a smaller defender or getting to the free throw line by creating contact. He is difficult to guard in the half court and impossible to guard in the full court when he has a head of steam. Where he dominates the game is in his aggressive drives to the basket with a deceptive quick first step. Bacon carries defenders with him all the way to the basket and has no problem finishing through contact.

This 6-foot-6 combo guard will be one of the most sought after players in the country this summer. Bacon list offers from Auburn, Baylor, Clemson, Connecticut, Depaul, Florida State, Georgetown, Louisville, Memphis, Miami, UCLA, USC, and many more.
