Nick Harris of Atlanta, Ga., committed to the College of Charleston in early September. In the process, the 6-foot-9 class of 2014 post player turned down overtures from Buffalo, Georgia Southern and Kennesaw State amongst others. Harris has good size and has prepped at one of the state’s top academic institutions in St. Pius X. Here’s our take on his current skill set.

Nov. 12, 2013: Prospect Evaluation versus Brookwood HS

Harris is a legitimate option on the interior. He made a nice right-handed half hook shot here in addition to running the floor a couple of trips for transition finishes. He read the double team on the right block and made the kick cross court using his right hand. Right now, Harris is hesitant to use his left hand to score it or kick it out to the perimeter. He’s a solid in-area rebounder using his body to get position consistently here. Skill wise, Harris showed with a hedge on the pick and roll set. At this point, he’s not an impactful shot blocker. That said there is plenty to like about his game and upside at the next level.
