Rashad Vaughn of Minneapolis, Minn., is arguably the premier scoring guard in the class of 2014. Vaughn transferred from to Findlay Prep in Nevada for his senior year. He has been adamant that he will not sign a National Letter of Intent until the spring. As recently as last week, the five-star prospect is still scheduled to visit Iowa State on November 17 and then UNLV on November 25. The Running Rebels campus is only about 20 minutes from where Vaughn attends classes. Vaughn is also considering Arizona, Baylor, Kansas, North Carolina and Minnesota.

USA Basketball Mini-Camp Evaluation:

Simply put, Vaughn is a scorer. The 6-foot-6 scoring wing possesses a legitimate frame to attack the rim, take contact from the opposing defenders and still finish through the contact and make the play. On top of that, Vaughn’s jump shot is both consistent and smooth as he releases. His shooting range extends beyond the FIBA 3-point line already with the ability to stay in rhythm while doing so.

Brandon Clay teams up with Marques Burnett to talk Vaughn and the rest of the class of 2014 grads on hand at the USA Basketball Mini-Camp:
