You’ll never know what you’ll find during a live period event. That’s why I spent the better half of the weekend looking for under the radar upperclassmen prospects. Below you’ll find 10 players in the 2026, 2027, or 2028 classes who made a name for themselves.

Trevyon Lafrance | SCE | 2028
Lafrance is one of the best shooters in the gym this weekend. The 6’3 sharpshooter hit shots in every major spot behind the three point lines. He can get hot in a hurry. Has the positional size and to hold his own on defense.

Nathan Frierson | 2 times outlaws | 2027
Frierson is an undersized forward who brings physicality to the paint. At 6’4 he has the physical strength to hold his own in the paint and rebound in traffic. His footwork is still developing on the offensive end but he understands how to create space with his shoulders. Good energy levels on the floor even while facing a deficit.

Angel Henderson | Ocala Impact | 2027
Henderson is a scoring point guard who plays with a ton of pace. He shifts through speeds seamlessly. Henderson can get to the rim and finish below the rim with crafty finishes and timing. He has a consistent mid range jumper that he can get into at the drop of a hat. Draws enough attention to be a good distributor.

Will Morandais | USAB Hornets | 2027
Morandais is an athletic 6’1 scoring guard who plays hard. He’s constantly in attack mode and has the physicality to finish through 1 on 1 coverage. He knows how to create his shots in the half court with several ways to shake a defender out hey into his pull up jumper. Has all the tools to be a positive 2 way player.

Sammy Zelaya | SCE | 2027
Zelaya has the athleticism that can give a defender issues. He flies around the court with having the bounce to swat shots in transition and contain defenders. He’s a physical player who can give and take bumps on drives. He gets to the rim at a decent rate.

Felix Jorge | OBG | 2027
Jorge is the ultimate glue guy for a talented team. He can play on or off the ball while controlling the flow of the game with his IQ and leadership. He plays the game like a coach on the floor. Jorge has a knack for knowing what the team needs and adjusting to it on the fly. He’s athletic enough to play above the rim in training, push the break, and attack the basket in the half court. He can knock down catch and shooter jumpers and he’s a solid positional defender. This skill set is all wrapped up in a sturdy 6’2 frame.

Derek Scheidt | PR1ME | 2027
Scheidt is a competitive lead guard. The 6-foot playmaker puts pressure on defense with his ability to get in the paint. Scheidt doesn’t have the most athletic pop in the world but he play a relentless style of basketball that keeps coming at you.

Alex Zaharis | PTWE | 2028
Zaharis is a lead guard who knows how and when to get to his spots. He’s 5’10 with a pace that puts his defenders on their heels. Zaharis used his quickness to get in the paint and draw fouls. He took at least three trips to the free throw line in each game I watched. He’s a solid team defender who knows where to be. Zaharis has a consistent mid range pull up that forces defenders to play him close.

Abdulsamod Momoh | OBG Elite | 2026
Momoh is one of the more interesting long term products thanks to his witty 6’8 frame and movement skills. He has long strides, a quick first step, and the ball skills in space to create driving lanes. He’s a good cutter who can make right handed hooks out push shots of movement. Solid rebounder with the speed to start in the play in transition. Can be a lob threat and occasionally spread the floor.

Kymani Dixon | TNT Hoop Squad | 2026
Dixon is an athletic lead guard who gets into the paint. He balances scoring and playmaking making him one of the best unsigned senior prospects in the gym. Plays a crafty pace controlled game. Efficient enough behind the three point line to keep teams honest with the finishing and midrange pull up to run an offense that uses pick and rolls.
