Who Wants The Smoke was a high-level precursor to this weekend’s live period. The staple on the OTR calendar brings together elite talent from all over the region. Here’s who stood out:

Jamai McClure - Team Person - 2028
Lethal shooting touch that saw him torch the net for 9 3s over two games. A very efficient player from beyond the arc that knows his range well. Brings a strong dynamic to this group with the pieces they have, defenses will have to account for him every game due to his range.

Cordell Nelson - Team Person - 2027
Cordell was a beast in the low post and he let the rims feel his impact. He connected on multiple putback jams and was grabbing every rebound in sight. Does well altering shots with his length and can extend the range to the 3pt line if your not careful. He runs the floor hard, is lethal in transition and consistent finisher in the low post. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and the energy transfers across his entire team. Underrated player with high upside.

CJ Omoyele - Team Scoot - 2027
Uber athletic guard that had numerous rim rocking jams which helped him avg upwards of 15ppg. Excels in transition and getting downhill, and at the guard spot is capable of making plays in many ways. He brings good energy and will easily turn into a crowd favorite due to his high athleticism play.

Khalib Brooks - ATL Kings - 2026
Brooks has been in the lab and turned himself into a true scoring threat. Hes got an aggressive scoring size and has some sneaky length to him. He was in a dog fight with Team person and did his best to will his team to a victory. Ultra competitive, crafty finisher around the rime and posses a good handle.

6’8 F Kendall Booker - Team Person - 2027
Really good length allowing him to guard multiple positions and be effective just being on the court. Nimble on his feet and still filling out his frame hes most effective as a big body on the court, altering shots, and grabbing rebounds. The more work he puts into his offensive arsenal the more his performances will look dominant.

Trey Smith - Team Person - 2027
Scrappy guard that brought good energy off the bench and played a pivotal role as a 6th man. Dived for the lose balls, forced mutiple jump balls, just going the extra mile to help the team pick up wins. Also as a guard did a good job creating for teammates and getting to the FT line.

Jaden McCullough - Georgia Stars - 2028
Truly one of the more special guards that came through, JM is turning into one of the most dangerous guards in the state. He lets the game come to him, highly efficient and can do a bit of everything for his group. His 3 ball was falling, threw down multiple jams and is always assisting on some eyebrow raising highlight plays. True leader and the performances are becoming routine for him. Avg 20ppg over the two-contest watched.
