OTR Hoops: 2027 Midseason Stock Risers in Florida (Part2)

We have reached the midway point of the 2025-2026 high school basketball season across the state of Florida. Here are some of the top stock risers in this year’s junior class.

Aaron Britt Jr - The Villages Charter - 2027: The 6-foot-2 point guard is the lead catalyst on the offensive end of the floor for The Buffalo, where he can score on all three levels, whether it’s off the catch or bounce. Britt plays with a ton of confidence, where he can be the primary ball-handler as well as get to his spots playing off the ball. On defense, Britt is versatile, able to guard positions 1 through 3, utilizing his length and athleticism to his advantage, whether in the passing lanes or in the interior. Expect Britt to have a strong second half to the season, where he has heard from several Power 4 schools.

Neomar Flores - Tampa Catholic - 2027: The 5-foot-11 point guard is an explosive guard when it comes to transition offense, who makes a ton of noise when attacking the basket as well as stopping on a dime out on the perimeter. His playmaking abilities have also taken huge strides, where he is averaging nearly five assists this season for the Crusaders. On the defensive end, he plays with consistent energy and a high motor, where he can guard multiple positions. He is not afraid when it comes to his effort on the glass and uses his frame to his advantage, limiting the opposition from getting second-chance scoring opportunities.

Madden Geiger - Calvary Christian (Clearwater) - 2027:  The 6-foot-9 power forward is a stretch forward who can get dunks in transition, as well as being able to space the floor with the ability to knock down shots from the perimeter. Geiger plays with a ton of length, where his wingspan reaches over 7 feet, and is active when it comes to being on the glass on both ends of the floor. His defensive presence has drastically improved from his sophomore season to this season, where he can guard positions 1 through 4 with his athleticism and the ability to alter shots at the front of the rim. Look for Geiger to have a big second half of the season, where he could receive a ton of Power 4 offers this spring and summer.

Ajayden Jenkins - Wiregrass Ranch - 2027: The 6-foot point guard plays with a combination skill set of poise and pace on the offensive end, where he can get to his spots, whether it’s finishing at the rim or from the perimeter. He has played with a ton of confidence this season for the Bulls, where he is averaging a team-high 22.9 points per game. Jenkins is also very active on the defensive end with his quickness and ability to jump the passing lanes, as well as getting deflections. Look for Jenkins to have a strong second half of the season as he has a ton of upside heading into the spring and summer.

Markel Holmes - University Christian - 2027:  The 6-foot-1 point guard has taken a huge step forward from his sophomore season to this season. He plays with a ton of energy on the

defensive end with his activity when guarding the ball, where his ability to get deflections and steals, turning into scores on the offensive end, is what separates him from the rest of the guards. On offense, Holmes has a smooth shooting stroke where he can be effective in the mid-range as well as from the perimeter off the catch and bounce. His high-IQ, motor, and quickness will be a difference maker in the second half of the season as he could draw some interest from mid-majors.

Jackson LaMarre - Tampa Prep - 2027:  The 6-foot-3 point guard has grown into being a strong ball-handler as well as decision maker this season. LaMarre plays with a ton of

unselfishness, where he can score on all three levels, as well as making strong passes to his teammates on the move. He continues to improve as a defender, whether it’s his ability to guard on the ball or apply pressure in the passing lanes. LaMarre’s next step to be a competent guard is having the ability to create his own shot off the bounce. LaMarre will be a name worth keeping an eye on as the season rolls on.

Henry Robinson Jr - Pine Ridge - 2027: The 6-foot-7 small forward and 37 th -ranked player in the country, according to numerous scouting services, plays with non-stop energy on both ends of the floor, where he consistently finishes around the rim, as well as expanding his range into being a mid-range scoring threat. On the defensive end, he is active around the glass, where he can contest shots at a high level and limit the opposition from getting second-chance scoring opportunities. The combination skill set of his size, length, and high motor should draw a lot of attention as we get to the second half of the season, where he has received offers from several Power 4 schools.
