PLAYERS FEATURED
The Crown Part IV turned The Villages high school into the home of under the radar ballers. Here’s ten players who stood out all weekend.
Brayner Pagan | Exclusive hoops | 2029
Pagan may have the highest ceiling of any 2029 prospect in the gym. He’s a 6’9 forward who can do a little bit of everything on the floor. He was a double digit rebounder in every game he played. Has the handle to push the pace on the break after securing a rebound. He flashed an off movement jumper beyond the high school three point line. He has good hands and it’s making him a popular option out of pick and rolls. Pagan is a good athlete with long arms who routinely finishes above the rim when he has a head of steam.
Andre Polite | Skills Center Elite | 2028
Polite is an athletic lead guard who can score really well in the paint. He's the type of athlete you have to warn your team about when he has a head of steam. He’s a quick floor general who can operate a pick and roll and find his own bucket in traffic. Very poised guard who limits turnovers while having the ability to force turnover and convert them on offense.
Isaiah Horrigan | Pro Holmes Academy | 2028
Horrigan kept the crowds entertained this weekend with his high flying athleticism. He played with a hot motor that no players at the 16U level could match. He’s a capable shot maker beyond the arc and in the midrange. He shines as a slasher and may even be better off ball where he’s allowed to roam and find launching pads in the paint. Good enough athlete to contribute on the boards despite playing on the perimeter.
Jaydon Kural | Skills Center Elite | 2028
If you’re looking for a point guard to lead your team with IQ and energy, Kural is your guy. He’s a smart and tough playmaker who can also put defenders in reverse. He can play a high pace offense or slow it down in the half court. That energy turns into toughness on the offensive in where he regularly attacks beats when he wants to score..
Kaiden Martin | PSB Tampa | 2027
Martin may have some of the best defensive upside of any prospect I saw this weekend. He’s a 6’6 forward who is comfortable switching onto guard, wings, and bigs all in one possession. He has the link for speed in positioning to stay with good athletes in space. On the offensive side they’ve used him as a rim runner who finishes well in traffic. He’s a solid force on boards on both ends of the floor as well.
Domingos Nhanga | Austin Rivers Elite | 2030
Nhanga is growing into what looks like a promising 7-foot frame. He moves surprisingly well for someone who’s grown so fast at a young age. Of course he has to add core strength to his frame to see how good he can become, but right now he uses his length and frame to be productive. He’s even working on his jumper beyond the three point line. Nhanga protected the paint and secured rebound in traffic. He ran the floor well for someone his size and finished around a pair of athletic front courts.
Demarius Knight | Stampeders | 2028
Knight is a freight train when he gets downhill. At roughly 6-foot-2, combines toughness, speed, and physicality to score his points around the rim. Knight is constantly putting pressure on the rim when he has the ball in his hands. He’s a good athlete with the athleticism of a respectable defender. Knight is capable of stepping behind the arc, but he knows his bread is buttered in the paint and mood range area.
Ja’Ron Perry | Q6 | 2028
Perry is a 6-foot-3 point guard with a frame that allows him to play physically on drives to the basket. Perry shifts between being the team's lead playmaker and scoring in bunches in the paint. He’s a really good passer who sees plays before they happen. Perry is a good point guard prospect to watch because of his IQ, his physical traits and his ability to get to his spots.
Jackson Swedenburg | AJ3 | 2029
Swedenberg is one of the most athletic guards we have in the classes of 2029. When he’s on, he’s attacking the basket and spraying defense behind the three point line. He’s a true head-at-the-rim athlete with the speed to gap other players in transition. Good off ball player right now with the athletic tools to become a problem as a slasher.
Ben Newby | Nassau United | 2028
Few players in the state shoot the ball with the efficiency and volume Newby does. He’s a combo guard who is comfortable playing on or off the ball because his shooting provides production wherever he is on the floor. He’s about 5 foot 10 with the handles to initiate an office and the pull up jumper to be dangerous out of the picking and roll.
