PLAYERS FEATURED
The Florida Warm Up pitted AAU team ready for a tune up against each at Southeastern Prep. Below are ten players that made a name for themselves before the live period.
Adam Hindman - Swan City - 2029
Hindman is emerging as one of the best shooters in Florida’s 2029 class. He has a strong 6’5 frame that makes him a solid on ball defender. Shots with confidence with a hair trigger release. Hindman’s athleticism and feel for putting the ball on the ground to attack close outs are developing.
Caleb Smith - FL Rebels - 2028
Smith has grown a few inches and rounded out the shot marking part of his game. He’s comfortable creating his own shot in the mid range and beyond the three point line. At 6’8 he has the size advantage to take smaller guards in the post and rise above them for turnaround jumpers. Length and size give him the physical tools to be an adequate perimeter defender. He’s a good cutter who finishes well around the basket after a few years playing closer to the paint. Currently has a slight frame that could fill out as he ages.
Colton Nuualiitia - 1Family - 2028
Nuualiitia has some of the best feet I’ve seen on a young big man in a few seasons. The 6-foot-9 front court player can score in the paint with all the pivots and counters to create space. He’s a good rebounder who uses his length to keep the ball alive. Plays with an edge and poles to get in the head of his opponents.
Evan Edwards - House Of Hustle - 2029
Edwards is a strong downhill attacker. Everything this 6’4 combo guard does starts with his ability to get to the rim. He constantly puts pressure on the rim while being about to finish at the rim with both hands. Very confident scoring option with relentless energy for driving. Good above the rim offense who isn’t afraid to challenge people at the rim.
Jaeziah Jones - 1Family - 2029
Jones has the makings of a clutch combo guard. All weekend he showed off his ability to produce whether he was on or off the ball. With the ball in his hands he becomes a point guard who can navigate a pick and roll while finding opportunities to score or find a rolling big. Off the ball he becomes a knockdown shooter behind the three point line.
David Jenkins - Unknown Elite - 2030
Jenkins is a talented young guard with a ton of confidence in his ability to make shots anywhere on the floor. He’s a shade over six feet tall with long arms. Has a quick and accurate jumper beyond arc in catch and shoot situations. Capable on the ball scorer when has space to use his jumper. Good feel for scoring but will need to improve on defense to raise his ceiling.
Anthony Brown - 1Family - 2027
Brown’s move to point guard puts his advanced passing feel on full display. He’s 6’5 with a mature frame and the type of athleticism that makes the game easier at the point guard position. He’s a good defender who can play with physicality without forcing fouls. Forces turnovers at the point of attack when putting pressure on ball handlers. Has improved as a catch and shoot player and on ball shooter. Nearly complete player with positional size and an ability to make plays on both sides of the floor.
Ace Simon - OCO - 2027
Simon has the physical tools to pass the eye test. He’s a 6’5 guard who shined in the midrange in his first tournament with a new team. He’s a capable jump shooter despite having a flat jump shot. A good athlete who can play above the rim and has the fit suited to beat close outs.
Paul Marte - Hoop Grind - 2029
Marte is one of those guards that can win you a game. He averaged almost 20 points a game while creating opportunities. He’s a dynamic undersized vocal leader who makes his presence felt in several ways. He went toe to toe against some of the best guards in the state and won his matchup. Marte thrives in the midrange where his speed and quickness gives him the separation to rain in mid range pull ups and floaters. Highly reliable on ball scorer and shooter who can finish against rim protectors. Poised for a breakout high school season.
James Williams - House Of Hustle - 2027
Williams is a big guard with a mature 6’6 frame. He lives at the rim thanks to a strong frame that pushes through defenses. He’s an excellent athlete that can find a launching pad in traffic. Williams loves to go left and at his size it’s hard to slow him down. He’s a big lead guard who puts pressure on the rim and scores well against it.
