Christian Collins, the No. 6-overall ranked player in the 2026 class, announced he has committed to USC on Wednesday, according to 247Sports’ Dushawn London. Collins chose the Trojans over his three finalists, which included Kentucky and Louisville.
Collins comes from St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, California, where he led the Braves, averaging 26.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. He also added seven double-doubles for the Braves this season, where he helped lead them to a 24-10 record and reached the CIF Division I semifinals before eventually losing to state champion Damien.
Last Grassroots season, Collins played for Team WhyNot on the Nike EYBL circuit, where he averaged 13.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game during the Peach Jam.
Collins becomes the third commit for Eric Musselman and the USC Trojans for the upcoming recruiting cycle, where he joins Archbishop Stepinac’s Adonis and Darius Ratliff. Musselman is familiar when it comes to landing McDonald’s All-American players, where he coached Nick Smith (Los Angeles Lakers), Anthony Black (Orlando Magic), and Jordan Walsh (Boston Celtics) during his time at Arkansas.
Collins is considered a long-armed prospect with a wingspan that reaches over 7 feet and is very mobile when it comes to covering the court. He is at his best when he is asserting himself as a rebounder or a strong finisher around the rim, where he averaged 8.3 rebounds per
game last summer while playing for Team WhyNot on the Nike EYBL circuit. He is also more of a secondary scorer, where he only averaged 12.5 points per game on 42% shooting from the field last summer during the EYBL season. His ability to shoot from the perimeter needs a little
more consistency, as he shot just 21% from behind the arc. He has strong potential when it comes to attacking downhill, where he can finish around the rim as well as expand his offensive game out to the free-throw line off the catch and bounce.
